"My friend runs a small cafe in West Wales . Due to Welsh Labour increasing business rates on hospitality businesses ( they remain unchanged in England ) his business rates are increasing from £12000 to £19000!
On top of this he has to find an additional £3000 for Labour’s national insurance hike and another £3000 for minimum wage increases .
His profit last year was £25000 so unless he increases his charges his projected profit for this year is reduced to £12000. He works from 6am to 6pm 6 days a week. I feel sorry for him as he works so hard but I’ve told him it just isn’t worth running a business in socialist run Wales ".

Now that's the response from a mature , well balanced individual . The non acceptance of a majority vote ( no matter the size of the majority) is often difficult for those with childlike tendencies, like those of a 5 year old having their toys taken from them they have to a have a tantrum., perhaps yet another lesson by OHL which a few could learn by.

Yes it is a mature response. When ohl says nowt is 100% he is correct.

So it is 100% correct that we're not going back in to the EU at the moment and probably not for a good while, maybe never. But it is not correct to say we're never going back into the EU.

As ohl says, nowt is 100%.

By using terms like " nowt" OHL has clearly become akin to another knobjockey and needs a slap

It is corrrct to suggest that we will never return to the EU

It's like getting divorced and then looking to remarry

That is 100% stupid , certainly

Here we go again, you really need to stand in front of a mirror and repeat slowly we voted out, I'm sure it will sink in at some time.

I know logic is not your strong point.

However saying we are 100 per cent going back in, is not the same as saying i dont accept tbat people voted out in 2016.

Please try to understand the difference.

You go if you want ,pity more didn't support their own country instead of pinning like a lost puppy. Were out ,get over it or move the people have spoken.

Supporting your country was voting Remain.
That was the patriotic vote.

Being duped by a couple of posh English chancers hell bent on deregulation and making a quick buck does not make you a patriot. It makes you a gullible fool. 🇬🇧
We are all poorer due to you … so less money for schools, hospitals, roads, social care, the armed forces and immigration controls. You must be very pleased, but patriot you are not.

Even Monty Python couldn't have written that.

You obviously choose to ignore all the problems the EU is having.

100% going back in you say, that's enough evidence it won't happen because your track record is many predictions given and zero being right, is Bojo in prison, is Trump? There's too many to list but all wrong.

I suppose you can't get more patriotic than joing the forces but that's my opinion I'm sure yours will differ, if it's my personal fault we're all poorer then due me ,fool

Lets be honest, people join the forces for many reasons, some just want an out from a troubled life.
Good for them.
And plenty of other reasons - family, employment skills, see the world etc …. Yes some are patriots already when they join up.

I can confirm that its not a test of patriotism though.
Many citizens are patriots without ever being part of the military.
I hope you understand that.

I am not blaming you personally, i save blame for Johnson, Mogg, and Farage.
Who have all ran away from the damage they caused.

The jury is still out on both Johnson and Trump ….

I was right about them both being booted out of power though (albeit the orange manbaby got back in)……,

And i was right about LePen not winning.

Remind me of any time when you have not sat on the fence …., 🤣

Is the fence thing all you've got then, because that's very wrong too. I am as anti Trump as anyone on the UK. I am anti reform. Did anybody on here say LePen was going to win?

Trump was found guilty and still not sent down, there is NO jury on Johnson, the things he did he got away with so you're wrong AGAIN though I do remember saying Bojo deserved a prison sentence.

It's better to sometimes sit on the fence than be wrong so often.

UK will move back closer to Europe without actually rejoining a I suspect associate members. Trump has single handily destroyed Brexit logic by tarrifs on UK and Europe together.

USA could change their ways and make cars more suitable for the tight street of Europe and improve the food standards to EU standards of they want to compete.

What Trump may have inadvertently done is shown the EU they are better off making a better deal with the UK (and possibly other countries) and leaving the USA to their own means.
When you say "I suspect" do you mean you've seen the news,

theguardian.com/world/2025/apr/28/uk-offers-eu-a-strategic-partnership-to-boost-trade-and-security

And that news, so it seems, shows that across the EU members there is an appetite to do deals with the UK in several areas, Brexit could turn into a winner after all, thank you the Donald!

People can try and make claims and predictions about the future but really, nobody knows what is around the corner.
