TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Hartlepool United on 22:34 - Apr 28 by D_Alien | If there are people who're doing that on channels other than this forum, it'd be sad - i'm not a follower on most other channels so wouldn't know In the past, people just stopped attending but kept their gobs shut - most often due to continuous poor performances which is perfectly valid. The idea of turning up regardless of any circumstances - and if you don't you're not a fan - isn't something i can agree with It's a bit like saying that someone who leaves the ground a few minutes before the end to avoid the rush isn't a 'true fan' - everyone has their reasons for doing things their way [Post edited 28 Apr 22:38]

Very true that, i wait until the added time board goes up now so if I improve a bit more i'll soon be a proper fan. 🤣 I actually left the York and Barnet games with 20 minutes left, the same time the manager and the team surrendered the game and made all the damage limitation substitutes. I was there to clap them on their lap of honour though on Saturday, show my appreciation for their efforts this season, they're a very likeable bunch of players who represent the club very well. I can't clap them off when they throw in some of the displays we've seen this season though, i'm not a happy clapper, i think the players will understand that and won't be bothered. TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Hartlepool United on 07:52 - Apr 29 with 446 views | BlackburnDale | Yup, I frequently have to leave the Sandy a few minutes early during afternoon matches as the quicker trains back to Blackburn via Todmorden only run once an hour. It's a judgement call with what's happening on the pitch, do I stay & suffer (if its an awful performance) meaning I hang around in Rochdale for another hour or do I leave & get back home in Blackburn by 6.30pm? In an ideal world I wish the afternoon train times would be 15 minutes later as I'd usually much prefer to be in the Sandy all the time till the end regardless, but train times dictate - I have though missed a few late Dale goals as a consequence. With night matches though the train times back to Blackburn are spot on! | | | |

I missed two late goals at York once, one at MK Don's seems to spring to mind. I've missed quite a few over the years. I do tend to stay until the end these days but not usually to clap them off in home games, the players normally go to the Sandy faithful after the game. I clap them on and off the pitch for their warm up and as they enter to start the game. I like to peak early, never been a long stayer. I'm with them in spirit, they know that 😀 [Post edited 29 Apr 8:57]
