Yep , we the taxpayer and it being our money have been taken for fools , migrants in hotels whilst we have veterans etc out one these the very same streets where these hotels are located .

For some reason UK are not minded to put temporary illegal immigrants being assessed for asylum into old RAF camps and floating accommodation considered good enough for British workers. They are a focus for NIMBY people and the charity organisations and lawyers.
The UK government has followed the Senedd lead and realised it is politically better to disperse those claiming asylum throughout the country so the public bleeding heart do not need to look at themselves in the mirror.
A few million to tidy Iup and RAF camp warmth heat food for a few thousand would be more cost effective. It seems reasonable to me. It is not Holiday Inn but good enough.
Labour made a big thing about the floating accommodation which was good value once they sorted out the air conditioning..
The people living in a wet trench in north east France know UK will offer them food warmth water. In my book the taxpayer should be looking for value. We offer only the basics. If the migrants social life is suffering that is not an issue for the taxpayer. I have mixed with workers in work camps living in poratcabina for years. Food heat warmth for enough.

Because they can't work in the black market. There are far fewer car washes / nail bars / Turkish barbers etc elsewhere in Europe.
I can't remember the last time I saw a Uber eats or similar rider when I've been in Europe, I don't think I ever have.

There are 5 McDonald's alone within 3 miles of my house. There's one on the entire island of Ibiza.
There are 17 take aways on or just off Woodfield street in Morriston. Before you consider the shops they deliver for.

Immigration is overwhelming services but we need those immigrants. If we need them, and we do, we should provide infrastructure for them and everyone else.
