I think he showed that he has something. He was very rusty today, but he has been out for two years on and off. Similar to tall Paul, he is a presence up front but Stewart also has pace. He used to also score a lot of goals at Sunderland, so let's hope he can get good (if he stays injury free). I can see that he could be useful next year. | |

I can't say I have really seen enough of him to decide if he is going to come good.
With his injury and being thrown into a team that has really underperformed it's difficult to establish how good he is. I hope he stays fit and gets game time ahead of new season to show why we paid around £9m for him.
We have got this far, we might as well see it through now with Stewart, to give us options. However, we do still need a new forward. | | | |

He moves around like a doddery old man on those fragile, matchstick legs of his. You'd think our scouts would have spotted this before we wasted all those millions on him.
Then there's Cameron Archer, who, although he can move when he wants to, is just not very good at kicking a football. More millions wasted.

A lot of goals? I posted this when we signed him: "He was considered below Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes and quite a few others in the pecking order for Scotland. He's 28 now and most of his career was in the Scottish leagues so they should know. I think we bought him for the Championship because he once scored 10 goals in it."
He'll be 29 this summer and still only have ever scored 10 goals in the Championship and none in the Premier League. He scored a career total of 9 in the Scottish Premiership. [Post edited 27 Apr 10:44]

Happy to see him in The team , though he was isolated and had at least 2 players onto him , the few times he got through he got fouled abd or pushed off the ball ref as usual gave nothing . As its only Saints .
If tall paul gets fit , play them both from the start i reckon rather than just one, at least itl give defenders occupied . |  |
