I’m intrigued what happens on the player recruitment and renewal front now.
Surely, if Nourry is to be believe and the Head Coach has input, we can’t sign anyone until the new fella is in and he inputs into the decision?
Unless, of course, that is all a lie, and we’re perfectly happy signing and renewing players without anyone on the coaching side having a say. Just the Child King making the decisions with all that experience in the game he’s built up.

Not a transfer rumour but Luton are down and some of their players may be up for grabs, not sure of Carlton Morris's contract length but it may be up this Summer, if so I think he's a good shout for the type of player we need up front, or we could just get some completely unknown player from Europe whose never played in the Championship. | | | |

Yes, I understand the point about consistency and the manager or head coach not just saying his lads from a previous gig.
But I still think it’s pretty important for the a) the bloke who’s going to coach them on the training field, pick the side, and be accountable for results to have input in to who we sign, and b) that someone who has experience of coaching in the game has input. Having Belk and Nourry make the signings solo is a concern, IMO.
You could argue Betsy and Calm might be having input re. points b, but until we hire Cifuentes’ replacement, we don’t have a solution for point a. | | | |

But what is the point of his agent getting an article written claiming the kid is desired by half of Europe….
Either to assuage his client, who is presumably not naive enough to believe it, or to make some fans believe that letting a make up the numbers kid from the EDS go is actually costing the club millions in transfer fees.. | | | |

Not intended to be nasty but it's a brutal business. About 1% of kids who play in the Academies go on to have EFL or PL careers.

We all know that, I thought 'shed no tears' was unnecessary.
It came across as a bit vindictive.
His agent (presumably) writing and pushing that piece is quite strange though, I have no idea who it's aimed at.
Edit - maybe the person the agent is really pushing is himself, showing potential clients his ability to raise the profile of his clients. [Post edited 4 May 15:06]
