They are the polar opposites of Obafemi and Whittaker, they had the talent but also grreat attitudes, they are what young players should aspire to be and if they did their badges and stayed as coaches I wouldn't be complaining, looks like that's not happening though.

I hope Swansea now has a coherent transfer policy and funding . Keeping on veterans too long is not beneficial but better than wasting cash on poor performing unfit players like Pederson for example.

Chelsea at their peak had John Terry who I think your comment best describes, no real pace but always in the right place and Ashley Cole who was one of the best left backs I've seen.

I remember talking to a Spurs supporter when we signed him and his opinion was that Naughts would never be world class but he’ll be consistently good.
Turned out to be a pretty good appraisal to be fair, with him in the squad it was another position that we didn’t need to be concerned about for a lot of years.

morning every one,think a lot wont like what im saying but Mr Coalman also leaves today and whilst not a fan of his he put his money in and whilst totally out of his depth in the u k soccer world tried to move the club in the right way but was held back by we all know who, and to be fair he has put together the new consotium that looks ( saying looks as early days) to be moving in the correct direction since they have come in, so as i say not all or even one may agree but i for one wish him and his family well in the future

It's kind of ironic that Ben Davies seems to be filling a similar role for Spurs these days as Naughton does/did for us. Mr. Consistency. Rarely puts a foot wrong. Available week in, week out to fill a couple of key roles if needed. Held in high regard by most but with a few critics in the fanbase. | |
