No, they did not clap them off. They were singing Fernades name. The players were booed when they came over, apart from Ramsdale and Fernandes, in amongst singing for Fernandes. There were chants throughout the game of you're not fit to wear the shirt. [Post edited 3 May 23:06]

Shocking amount of space for Vardy's goal. And not the great goal as reported - if you look closely at the slo-mo you can see it's a' swinger' coming off the shin. But then again, he had the know-how just to go for it.

It's like they're not even players. Some of them, like Will Smallbone and Ross Stewart, just don't look like they should be involved in any type of professional sport at all and others, like Cameron Archer, while they look like they might be a bit athletic, are totally ineffective with a football at their feet. That's a good point. It's been referred to or implied before ie. They're not fit enough. But our players really aren't. We don't have many, or enough, Premiership quality athletes and this is one of the main reasons we've failed this season. It just goes to show how useless our recruitment, and training, has been over the last few years. With other clubs this is clearly of priority when recruiting players, name any team except the bottom three, to varying degrees, whereas we seen not to have bothered too much. So we might get away with it in the Championship but not in the Prem. [Post edited 4 May 13:25]

It wasn't just this match, we've been Iike it all season.
It's the legacy left with us by Russell Martin, he created a lazy, laid back culture throughout the club , we need a disciplinarian of a manager to get this lot into shape.
Getting them fit would have helped but we have to accept the fact that our squad of players are just not good enough for Premier Lge, we'll find out next season whether they are good enough for Championship. | | | |
