Driving today and pulled up next to a car with the number plate QPR14. Sure enough after windows down, it was “Yeah I’m QPR too mate!” Great to see a fellow R in Brisbane. Not many of us around. PM me Steve so I can shout you a beer. Stu 😃

You’re lucky to be able to use a Q on your number plates over there.The best we can manage is OPR with a bit of tape or the screw to make it look like a Q.
The one I had was PG04 OPR but I sold the car before I transferred the number plates and the person scrapped the car.The number plate went with it.

Although they are not on my car at the moment, I own QPR 67, here in Brisbane.

Q, used to be unavailable to the general public here in Massachusetts as it was reserved for official / state vehicles. Then, they removed that barrier and it was open to all. Naturally, my vanity plate was applied for, supplied and attached within weeks. Surprisingly, there has been no great flood of like minded vehicle owners.

I think Q is, or at least was, used in the UK for kit cars.

I had an old Volvo (long since scrapped) with;

D748 DPR

Would have loved to have bought a Ducati 748 motorbike and stuck that plate on it, but was well out of my budget plus completely impractical for inner London commuting.

I'd give a million quid for that
If I had it
And a car

Strong and stable my arse.
