Brave Israeli Eurovision contestant 12:21 - May 13 with 4574 viewsJoesus_Of_Narbereth

Poor girl was a survivor of the Oct 7th genocidal atrocity carried out by Palestines terrorist government Hamas. She was forced to hide under a pile of dead bodies and play dead for 8 hours whilst the monsters shot indiscriminately into the corpses and threw hand grenades into the shelter. It was a miracle she survived. She will perform with shrapnel still embedded in her leg.

Now she’s the Israeli entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest, a supposed celebration of love, diversity, inclusion and togetherness in these uncertain times.

How did this inclusive and loving Eurovision community treat her? They tried to get her banned. She has experienced “throat slitting” gestures and other threats. Fans travelling to see her have been warned to not wear or wave any Israeli flags or Jewish clothing because of serious threat of harm against them.

It’s a horrific state of affairs.

I've no idea what it is these days, codswallop sounds close.

Just caught the Luxembourg " song" by chance
Painful
Europe really is a musical desert

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

The UK needs to keep entering Sam Ryder until we win.

He would have won the first time if not for the Ukraine sympathy vote. The song he did the year after would have pissed it if it was our entry, especially with Roger Taylor pretending to play the drums on it.

Considering that no other European Nation (not even Sweden) comes close to the UK's musical contribution to the World it's frankly barking that we've only ever won it five times. We should be the Celtic of it.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

In a fair vote we would have won it more times but it's not fair and hasn't been for a long time. The voting is as much about politics as it is talent, possobly more so.

Some of the winninh songs make Joe Dolce's "shaddup your face" look like an all time classic

The days of it being a song contest ended up with Katie Boyle
It is a show of kitsch which appeals to many who have no culture of contemporary music

European people don't really give a shit about Gaza. Or if they do, they prefer the secular democracy to the theocratic crazies who like to rape and slaughter their way through the World.

Well if the choice was to go to live in Tel Aviv or Tehran? and I'm not talking about minority religions or LGBTQ people who would be rounded up immediately in Tehran, imprisoned and possibly executed.

It is interesting that the Israeli entry finished second with the most public votes. The protestors may not have as much public backing as they suppose.

Sometimes the public protest against a protest.

Their chance of winning is zero. It is political see butt.

Never underestimate the power of the people. I'm not sure if you revel in being continually wrong or if you are just out of touch with life in the real world.

It is like London Marathon largely a white skinned event. Majority Muslim countries are not interested in showing the event with "women". singing with beards and other such things.

I suspect much of the public vote is from the LGBT etc community. It is like alcohol and water they do not mix

The west is encouraging radicalisation with it's support for Israel abominations.

Superficial support for a cynically politically motivated and state sponsored entrant. A like Saudi sponsoring the boxing and football.

Israel was booed, and canned applause was used to cover it. Ireland voted out in the semis, and Israel wanted Spain disqualified, because they both recognise the state of Palestine

There is no state of Palistine it is not recognised by the UN.

It only has non-member observer status there because of course it is run and governed by a terrorist organisation

It is a disgrace that an EU country, Spain, supports terrorism.

Wrong!

As of March 2025, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 147 of the 193 member states of the United Nations, or just over 75% of all UN members.[

Started quickly with something special, then realised that someone else was also in the competition, got bogged down, told everyone they were winning then lost half the band. Still playing by all accounts.
