I genuinely love him for the effort he put in and the love he showed for the club, but given his goal scoring record I wouldn't want to spend the sort of money he feels he'd deserve and would rather look elsewhere and try to unearth another Piroe.

Agree. The plan now seems to be put robust enough systems in place to identify the next McBurnies and Darlings, before they make it and can command hefty salaries. Think both are fantastic players (basing Oli on his time here), but I’m not convinced throwing the chequebook at them is the right play, when we’ve got a thin squad and could spend the money they would command on four or five quality players. I’d certainly love that type of striker here though.
Oli? on 12:42 - May 17 with 437 views | ReslovenSwan1 | McBurney, Brewster, Lowe are strikers that excelled at Swansea and played their best football in Swansea. None seem to have done particularly well elsewhere. I watched OMcB doc detail with Baston beautifully in a pre season friendly. Perhaps they could have helped each other as a partnership. It was never to be. I saw something similar between Wood and Abdullai in a league cup tie.

He had 1 golden season for us (2018-2019) where he netted 22 goals, not bad for a young man in the championship, and we duly sold him for a handsome profit. Prior to that, and since leaving his goal scoring record leaves little to be desired (26 goals in 146 appearances for Sheffield & just 2 in 27 in Spain this season). We need to find better so it's a no from me. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

No vetch we haven’t . We love thinking of these past players as the answer. We need to stop looking back. I am sick of past their sell by date players coming home. Davies will be the next one don’t think he has signed a new deal at spurs yet.

I'd love to have Davies back. Perfect experienced Centre Back to pair with Captain Cabango.
