I think Walsh will become a better keeper than Nardi and I wouldn't object to him starting as no 1 next season. If not then a good L1 loan out is essential to his development. We could afford to do that as Cooper could slot in as the no 2 keeper to Nardi.

We really are well stocked in the GK dept. Ambition must be to sell Nardi then move everyone up one and bring in another 3rd choice.

I think Nardi's weakness in the air is a fatal flaw in our Division. A shame because he's very good in other areas. I'd be hoping we replace him with a goalie suited to the Championship.

It's so hard to judge goalies, though. Really need to see them over 10-20 games, I feel.

It's very QPR that we're deficient all across the pitch but the one area that you really want a single unquestioned #1 who plays every week and never rotates we've got three strong choices and a handful of youth players that also look good.

E: after listening to the Patreon pod, one minor correction, we do know about the JCS injury - it was the hip injury that he had surgery on.

Nardi has been very good this season, but it does make me question the long-term succession planning at the club. Would it have made more sense in the long run to bring in another stop-gap in the Begovic mold, just less fat and shit, for 12 months while integrating Walsh into the first XI?

I like Nardi and agree that he's had a solid debut season. A big improvement on Begovic and I feel confident with him between the sticks.

On the Walsh point, I wonder what stopped the club giving him the starting spot this season and electing to bring Nardi in.

From the limited games of his I've seen, I quite like Walsh and would earmark him as a starter in waiting. But if the coaching staff don't see it by now, will they ever?

My feeling is his kicking's the weakest part of his game. Not long, not accurate and often not swift enough when he's being aggressively closed down.

Little to disagree with in this report and nice to see one area where the squad is adequately stocked. Given the options at our disposal, I wouldn't be averse to the club cashing in on one should decent offers come in (Murphy Cooper being the obvious candidate). Dieng's recent struggles at 'Boro is a reminder of how quickly things can change so it's important to strike whilst the iron is hot.

Though this report focuses on goalkeepers I was more concerned by the churn in central defence. The next end of term report should make for interesting reading.

Any keeper that can kick quickly and a better distance than Nardi, gets my vote.

Walsh can turn an attack from the opposition to a very fast break for us.

Not sure we are that strong in the goalie department.

Nardi and his inability to claim crosses is a big concern next season. He was targeted post Xmas.
Haven't seen enough of Walsh, but when he has played there have been errors.
Murphy, looks way to small, would he be targeted like Nardi?

Walsh doesn’t come off his line either. Go back and watch his appearances in the cup this year, he’s also tethered to his goal line.

He has the physique to be commanding. But evidence isn’t there yet. I do wonder if it’s the coaching for him and Nardi.

Cooper, I just worry will be too small. Hopefully wrong on that.

Good season for Nardi overall......easy to 'knock' a keeper.. Yes, he has his limitations but no more than most of our First Team players. No real issues with him being our No1 next season.

As for the other Goalies......not played or seen enough of them to judge but they do look promising, long way to go though.
