20 mph on 18:45 - May 29 by SullutaCreturned | Isn't "changing the way data is collected" just a cover all bases term for we are going to lie to you and when you ask awkward questions we'll just keep parroting that. Then they relaease wide ranging data sets and claim they mean one thing when they could easily mean many things. They brush broad strokes and set out out a limited outcome that entirely suits their agenda. So they mix 20 amd 30mph data together and claim it proves 20mph saved lives. |
To quote Drakeford " let's hope they don't notice". If the data collection method changes, then any comparisons with other data should be treated with caution, a simple rule in statistics.

Thing is, I'm not that intelligent so if I can see it then what does that say about others? Are they that dumb or os it just tunnel vision, whatever the Senedd does just parrot "but Westminster"? Or is it just blind loyalty to the Welsh Labour party?

I have an old work colleague who now works as a barrister. He is as sharp and bright as can be. He says smart people don't consider themselves smart but they do notice when other people are stupid.

20 mph on 18:44 - May 29 by Dr_Winston | If there was conclusive proof that the 20mph limits were having an effect on safety the WG would be trumpeting it long and loud. The fact that they're trying to fudge the figures by including 30mph zones would suggest that there is no such thing. |
The figures are out there. Maybe this video will aid your understanding….?

Innit. Kilks letting someone like Hayward do his thinking for him explains a lot.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

20 mph on 15:29 - May 29 by onehunglow | One of the biggest causes of death on roads is drug driving Thousands daily go to work having smoked dope the evening before thinking they are ok They're not We should confiscate and sell off vehicles of drink and drug drivers and those using their phones too All three killers but we don't have the guts politically and that includes Plaid although I think they want us to go back to horse drawn carriages |
Speeders speed that's a fact regardless of the limit and "fatalities linked to drug driving on UK roads have increased by 164 per cent in less than a decade, from 47 in 2014 to 124 in 2023" but its still drinking which is the higher cause of accidents . It would seem that CCTV cameras have taken on the role of replacing and not supplementing policing on our roads and because of that the chances of being stopped by the police is minimal .We now have a Mayor in London now calling for smoking cannabis to be decriminalised which hopefully is dismissed out of hand , as most of us have experienced the smell of it which pervades everywhere, certainly where I live and the thought that many drivers are driving high appals me . I agree caught driving whilst high then the vehicle should be seized maybe then that will focus the minds of those who think driving is a right not a privilege.

De criminalizing it doesn't mean de discriminating driving under the influence, that's not what happens when it's been done. Neither is drug dealing. It's just for personal use. When you think of it, who has the right to tell anyone what they can eat drink or smoke - I don't smoke myself, so don't really care, but weed does stink horribly
