Valuing old football boots - Specifically Adidas Accelerators 1998 15:56 - May 31 with 1331 views

Afternoon.

Just going through some old bags and I have found some of my old boots from playing in the late 90's early 2000's. I was speaking with my God son and he states that some models are worth hundreds of pounds and even into the thousands.
As far as I can see from Ebay mine would be in the region of 250 to 700 pounds. Certainly mine are in better nick than most on their.
I've had a quick look to see if there are any sites that value old boots but cannot see anything.
Anyone come across a site that values old boots before, or a shop in West London?
Also have Copa Mundials from 97 and Umbro Pele Specials from 99 were in my loft.

i'm,still using Copa Mundial like a CB should and think of them like triggers broom; think i'm on my 9th pair. But only playing in them once a week, mainly on astro, means they last several years. Back in the day they'd last a season with 2-3 full games per week

I picked up a pair of adidas boots for a song, like £20 when everything else was £120 and played quite happily in them for two years before someone pointed out they were rugby boots and almost certainly illegal. Made no difference whatsoever to my game as all my passes go backwards and my shooting is always over the bar.

Just looked up the price of some Supernova's that my mate gave me when he was playing professionally. They were touching £200 for an old worn pair!!

Wish I'd have kept the box now.

Whats the deal, are new boots just not as good/well made?

You still running around today? Fair play to you.
I actually didn't wear the Accelerators a lot as couldn't get on with the blades.
For the final years of playing 11 a side i wore the Umbro Pele Specials. Lovely soft leather boot.
They have all been tucked away since 2002.
This came about as my best mate had an old pair of Predators (diff design) and sold them on ebay for 200 quid. I happened to mention that I had an old pair from 98 stored somewhere and would be interesting to see how much they might be worth.
Turns out the 98 Accelerators are highly sort after.

I am not sure. I think they did a re-issue of the Accelerator boot in 2018.
Its the original 1998 boots that seem to be worth more.
