Ricardo Santos 11:42 - Jun 4 with 6632 views | KeithHaynes | Has elected to join Swansea, the Swans still looking into a more detailed contract but it can be described as close, but no cigar unless today has made a difference.

Think he’ll be the Nauts/Christie squad cover at least initially & not the Darling replacement.

Wrexham are linked with everyone let's see how it goes, most of it is click bait for the gullable.

Not like we got a spare 50k a week splashing about. Plus Spurs may extend his contract for a 12 month and sell him on.

Ricardo Santos on 13:07 - Jun 4 with 4397 views | Daggyjack | Santos was in the PFA team of the year for 4 consecutive years from 2020 - 24. Was Bolton's captain too until recently. Our signings can't all be exciting ones, we need these types of players too, especially for cover. Would be a good signing.

An improvement on Pederson and a lot cheaper

I liked Pedersen but we could not afford to carry a player having such an injury ridden period with us. Hoping Ginnelly can finally shake off his injuries but I do fear the worst. We do need cover in the centrehalf position so I cautiously welcome some new blood if Santos signs [Post edited 4 Jun 13:35]

would we be saying this about Ben if he were not one of our own....we have seen how sentimentality can be flawed when signing players.

Ricardo Santos on 14:04 - Jun 4 with 4115 views | Azzuriswan | Were any of the players signed permanently back in 2011 really stars until they gelled in to our promotion team?
Ricardo Santos on 14:06 - Jun 4 with 4109 views | Martyn | Well, disappointed with this one since he was first mentioned. But at the end of the day all he probably cost us was what we had in the piggy bank and he will only be 4th center back at best. So OK
Ricardo Santos on 14:14 - Jun 4 with 4073 views | blackpooljack | If Ben leaves Spurs and doesnt even think about making himself available to us then his stock will fall dramatically with many Swans fans
Ricardo Santos on 15:12 - Jun 4 with 3867 views | nitramj | I think it’s time to cut the sentimentality out of our signings and focus on signings who fit the needs of the team within budget. A few examples :- Wilfred Bony way way past his best when he came back . Must have cost a fortune and not a shadow of his former self. Joe Allen great player but again unable to maintain fitness. Again cost a fortune. Hardly played.Ben Davies still imo a valuable premier league player but the rigours of championship.? Huge cost outweigh the risks. Ollie still could fit the bill age wise and we do need a striker with his attributes. But again he’ll cost a fortune- too risky. Has anyone thought that former players may not want to return? We have to move on.

He's on over 50 grand a week we can't compete with that, and I wouldn't expect him to take a sentimental cut

Knew nothing about the guy but after a little read I see some sense in the signing.

Relatively. Darren Witcoop seems to have given up on the Swans for now, he’s decent too but had his fingers burned, we all do.

Stats are just one side to it but FotMob suggests he has good passing accuracy, and is strong in both ground and aerial duels. Possibly not a great reader of the game with average stats for interceptions and blocks, and could have the speed of a barge given he was poor on "dribbled past". But I have never laid eyes on him so no idea really.

A tall plat yet 6 ft 5in.He would be Swansea s tallest player. Always work to do at corners and free kicks whatever league you play in.
