As expected to be honest. I would say like every player at every club if the price is right he would be sold. He played a lot of games towards the end of the season including the Europa League [but not the final], so if he stays he's a useful squad member. Probably all depends on the new manager. |  | | |

There are no facts to check as posters on here do not have a copy of his contract. The headline say a "new contract" but in fact it is an extension of an old contract.
It is probable that if Ben wanted to leave he could not. This again is speculation as he himself might have had an option based on appearances or other contract details posters are not privy to.

Ben is delighted I would think as he is declining Patterson was unhappy and wanted better terms as he was on the up. Routledge was one match away from earning an extra year and voluntarily give up the extension to play games.

You’re making this up as you go along, as has been pointed out what you have posted is incorrect, Spurs have triggered the option and short of breaching the contract and most likely being sued there’s nowt he can do.
You mentioned Patterson in another post, I dare say his move would have been for more money, there’s no way Swansea would pay anything close to what’s on offer in the PL. Let’s be honest, why would he ditch Spurs for Swansea, nearly everyone he’d have known at the club has moved on.
