Absolute cart horse

Yes if in a two year contract. Trued and tested at this level good control and excellent in the air.

The problem with Kiefer Moore is he’s an established striker. He’s going to command big wages and in his early thirties, have no real resale value.

If we’re looking to pay those kind of wages, we’d be better off with McBurnie

Must admit, I didn't realise that Moore was as old as he is. 33 in August. For that reason alone I'm out.

Never used to think he was much more than a skull on a stick, but he did impress me during one of the games where we tonked them during the Martin era. Looked the only player that they had who had anything about him.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I wonder if Sheffield United will let Kieffer Moore leave now that Chris Wilder has left. I know he's under contract but at 32 they couldn't expect a huge amount for him

Being a TIT , what would Del say?
Kieffer!Kieffer!.....but Kieffer!

I do agree BUT, I think I'd rather find a younger player as seems to fit with what Sheehan wants.
The story is we have 3 players coming in (hopefully) then one more on loan, could the loan target be that young EPL striker? I rarely watch and even more rarely pay attention to anything EPL unless we are playing one of them, what are our options?

Just an idea Richard. Earlier you said this -

'Would have O'Brien back if possible as for a striker I would like to see a striker who can make a nuisance of himself and cause centrehalves problems both aerially and on the floor, if defenders are under pressure they will make mistakes. We have some interesting signings and need someone to compliment them and one that they can feed off so we get more goals throughout the team.'

He absolutely does cause centre halves problems as he's aggressive and very good in the air. And he may not be a PL quality player but to call him a cart horse as JON does is totally wide of the mark imo.

Aerially he is a nuisance but don't think he offers enough in other areas, would also like a bit of pace ability to get across players given the number of quality low crosses missed, for me, seen a number missed by him and his age is also a factor for me.

I don’t disagree. All things considered, I think McBurnie would be a better option than Moore (even though I don’t think Moore is just the battering ram some people believe him to be).

Like you, I’d rather trust our recruitment team to find a younger, lesser known player who we can sign on lower wages and hopefully sell on. Admittedly we haven’t seen any of them play yet, but the new signings look to be gems.

I’d trust them not to sign another Kukharevych.

I agree "(even though I don’t think Moore is just the battering ram some people believe him to be)." though the last few seasons the amount of times hes been pulled up for "arms raised" says to me hed be limited if its just the balls aimed in we would be looking at.

He comes short and holds the ball up well for oncoming team mates. More often than not he’ll play a decent ball into their path.

I wouldn’t be signing him though. Rate him as a player, but I’d rather someone younger and quicker who we can get a couple of seasons out of and sell on

Mcbernie not prolific enough for me. I'd like to see a striker in the Piroe mould who can make runs into space and behind defenders. He had a cracking season for us before we sold him on and hasn't done anything since. He'll always be a JB but my head is overruling my heart on this one.

I think some of the signings we've already made we'll naturally see more goals coming from midfield, from Widell and Inoussa in particular.

And let's not forget we've also signed Wales who is a striker, so maybe we've already got the man we need to lead the line?

Wales seems to be the creative type who doesn’t score a lot, but makes a lot of chances for others.

I agree, that could well benefit Widdell and Inoussa. Possibly Cullen as well, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see his role reduced a bit, especially when we bring a striker in.

The weird thing is that Wales, as young as he is could turn out to be another Scotland- if that makes sense 😊
