Get a kiwi "Do not pass Go and do not collect $200"??? 15:18 - Jun 17 with 3793 viewsReslovenSwan1

Sir Huw seems to making better signings this season with Matt Smith a Welsh international midfielder and this giant ,New Zealand keeper.

They could be popular in the lower leagues as I understand it FIFA pay big feed for EC2022 players. I am not sure of it is all world cups or a special care and the lady one in Qatar was in the winter.(A one off??).

Morrell is another free Welsh international he could consider Both featured for Page so should well above league 2.

Right.

So in one game, that you watched online, against lower league opposition, you managed to see what no-one at Brighton had. Brighton who are one of the very best and identifying, developing and selling young players.

Sensible posts only please

I saw Barrie McKay once and thought he should be nowhere near Swansea city. One Kyle McCauley Potters recruitment ma man thought it wise to recommend Swansea to buy him for £1.5m. The player was weak and could not tackle anyone for his life. Cooper called him out for his " non negioables" along with Asoro and Declan John.

Funny I should mention Kyle as he was the same man in a group that ushered Gyorkeres to the door for the same fee he was asked on McKay.

I do not claim to be an expert but Gyorkeres was the right profile and Cooper rated his potential. Swansea have had managers seeing the club as a stepping stone and he saw no personal motivation to tie him down. It makes have been Andy Scott that brought him to the club

Kyle loved Barrie McKay. No one else thought much of him. These signings are all to common which is why the club is treading water and losing money.

Swansea gave contracts to Cullen but not Gyorkeres. Cullen is still improving at 26. Gyorkeres flew to a much higher level. He was always stronger then Cullen and can head the ball better.

I did the same with Tjoe A-On. Seeing a player is out of his depth in one game is a totally different proposition to seeing one had serious potential. Especially on a screen against a lower league side. From memory, he scored a good header but didn’t even play particularly well.

If you want to keep insisting you knew Gyokores was a talent, crack on. I just won’t believe you.

Back on topic

Levein and Kaplan are comfortably the worst owners we’ve had since Petty.
Jenkins achievements up until he sold to then were phenomenal
Selling to buyers like that was a snake move. They were clearly ill equipped to deal with relegation

I saw it. I watched his sole full game on line. An FA cup tie v Stevenage. He scored a crisp header and was pretty solid. He was in the Ivan Toney mould 21 not rounded and the club lost patience with him and cashed in.

I rated Garrick as well who made the cross. I lost patience with Cullen 2 years back but the club is backing him back. He is improving and recently headed a beautiful goal I thought was beyond him. It is called grafting

One man who did back him was Mark Robbins. That is why they for the last couple of season have outworked Swansea. They may be do a substantial sell on fee of VC is sold.

Coopers legacy was nothing. He improved Cullen Cabango and O Cooper. Martin signed a Downes which saw £10m coming in n and Darling who should have been sold last season.

My Spanish is a bit weak.

Cooper himself said " there is a real good player in this man".

This is what you posted on the Stevenage match day thread after the match. It differs from this post. Remember with the Internet there is nowhere to hide. Post bullshit and you get caught out.

"I am disapointed Swansea were abolutey no threat on the break in the last 20 mins. No pace from Vic or Cullen. Garrick if moved into the middle would have given them more problems. Cullen Wales U21 Vic Swedish international. I would take Garrick over both of them."

Only just seen this.

So the one time Resolven saw Gyokores play, he thought Garrick would be a better option.

Fair enough really, we all thought he was useless too. The rest of us are just honest about that.

Like the rest of us he did not rate him as he stated in the Stevenage match day thread. To come back years later and say he did is just not true. To blame the club on missing out is just a figment of his delusional imagination. Lie and you will get found out, the internet is time stamped there is nowhere to hide.

Just a bit of frustration.Swanaea needed pace up top and Garrick had pace and fast feet. Sadly g he was dogged by injury and poor discipline at the time.

The point is Gyorkeres had the right profile and even Steve Cooper rated him saying. " there is a real god player in there". It I was his job to see and develop his potential. Copper left no legacy. He was working for Cooper not Swansea. Gyorkeres was not outstanding v Stevenage but scores a crisp goal and showed glimpses of class. If you asked me at the time was he worth a bid of £1.5m I would have said definitely.

Cooper used all the parachute cash and ran away.

I do not spend my life justifying myself a pr following fake narratives created by useless lazy people.

Gyorkeres never pulled up tree at Swansea but Cooper saw potential in him. I have been banging on for months that Wales does not produce players like him. Not even close to him 6 ft 2 in CF do not exist in Wales. James Crole is the closest and he plays for Penybont. Jephcott has been released at Newport County.

I repeat I would have recommended an offer to Brighton at the time . Cooper made a howler as he was not thinking in Swansea's interests. A top player 18 month down the line was no use to him.

He was not useless to Mark Robbins who developed him properly. Cooper threw him under the bus

It does not follow your narrative that Levien is to blame for everything. Had Copper had faith and patience he could have a front two of Gyorkeres and Piroe with Whittaker behind.

He chose to run away instead of building something.

So - where does Steve Cooper throw him under the bus?? 🤔

"Swansea at the time were second in the Championship under Steve Cooper, who explained the reasons behind Gyokeres' departure.

"Brighton wanted to recall him, that happened a couple of days ago and he has said his goodbyes," said Cooper in January 2021.

"I have to say he is a really good guy, and there is a good player in there.

"I think it was a loan that came a bit later than what everyone wanted. He had some bad luck picking up Covid on international duty too.

"He was happy here, but he wanted to play more football."

Cooper did not play him. Robins did and showed patience. It is a tricky business developing young players. Swansea chose Cullen over him.

When I am wrong I admit it. Only a fool would say Cooper was blameless for not seeing and tying down this player.

Brighton were at fault also. Swansea are in mid table drift because of these mistakes and managers unwilling to complete their contracts.
