Nope, but that's not surprising. I tend to steer away from the news these days, far too depressing. Too many extremists , far left and far right, all want to impose their reality and beliefs on you.

It's perfectly clear that some UK residents think we have the same values and ethics as cultures thousands of miles away, witness the stupid people thinking that they can walk through Egypt to Gaza. They have no understanding of the recent history of Egypt whatsoever.

It always amazes me that people who leave a despot controlled country to come here instead of integrating want to turn our country into a mirror image of the one they claim they had to leave. And then we have homegrown bigots who want to erase history. What are you left with? A very vociferous dangerous group of people akin to the regimes we see in places like Iran.

Queers for Palestine , just had to look up them up on tinternet and they do exist . Sure they will change Benny and The Dons stance on the Middle East at the highest level in forward thinking or in their eyes , if they can be bothered to view the tree huggers words . Again just how did these numpties get access into a high security area . Maybe they went to their local B+ Q and bought a hacksaw to cut the wire tence . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I get this crepe too. If you have a different opinion they you are a troll trying to provoke not a genuine person with genuine views. It turns out the head of Brize Norton is a woman of a HR background (according to Reform who often get things wrong). She may or not be suitable for the job. There is already concern about the military promoting inclusivity as more important than competence. The right and wrongs of Gaza are complex but there is a genocide and UK is friendly with the perpetrators. It is a bad situation caused by religious zealot stealing land for the creation of a greater Israel. This is a problem for UK Government the US Government the EU and friendly Arab states. It is now a problem for the Head of Brize Norton who failed an basic security audit. This is now in a storm of sexism and women's career development which further fudges straight forward issues. Where were the security people and the Alsatians? The good things about dogs is they do not a care about inclusivity and will give you a nasty bite. The head of security should be as honest as an Alsatian and also have a nasty bite that you do not forget. Stop the land grabbers. Stealing other peoples land causes violent reactions and bizarre spin offs. "What goes after round comes around". We cannot have a soft lame duck military run by people who know how to talk the talk in corporate meetings managing people sleeping at the wheel on a time of heightened global stress. This means not paying any tax or rates. I have not heard anything about any disciplinary action at the base. It sounds as if the operation was a piece of cake. There seems to be a culture of letting crimes happen and then prosecution following assessment of CCTV. I recall the Police took cameras to the London riots a decade ago then handed out stiff deterrents. Itn that case no one was injured a few trainers and TV and iPhone went missing with some windows smashed. No bother all covered by insurance. Insurance does not cover £200m fighter bombers Typhoons or whatever. Deterrence starts at the base gate and fences..

The investigation needs to widen to encompass the network behind the attacks. PA runs direct action training events, and has done for some time. https://www.palestineaction.org/ It is reported that one recent workshop identified three other airfields for PA attacks - two in Lincolnshire and RAF Valley. The authorities have let things get completely out of hand. There is now a determined campaign to portray PA as a non-violent peace movement, but no nation can tolerate sabotage of its military assets, especially in the present "pre-war" climate. The latest statement from PA says they will set out to radicalise other prisoners by creating an "intifada" if they find themselves in jail. What with the recent attacks on prison staff by Islamist prisoners, I wonder if we are reaching the stage where we need a special supermax facility.

The reaction to the criminal actions of illegal Israeli settlers in Palestine are now coming to a town near you. One would think it is time for the UK to declare the armed Israeli footsoldier settlers as land grabbing criminals. These pampered people are enemies of the West and liberal democracy as they are a vindication of an anti Arab bias.

Its German Shepard's not Alsatians but the outcome would be the same .My mate an ex RAF dog handler and based at Brize Norton couldn't believe how they manged to get onto the base with electric bike/scooters. But then you know standards have fallen in the military when you see personnel on parade wearing fogging beards, what ever next rainbow ribbons attached to their weapons.. If this threat continues then in my mind its an act of treason and with it the punishments should reflect that, maybe that'll focus the minds who think its ok to weaken an already weak military establishment.

Punishunishments d be for the people in the camp not the demonstrators. A middle aged woman of no fixed address got in and out without anyone noticing. Punish ment must be on the base not afterwards as if they FSB from Russia the planes would be burning and the agents on a ship in the Baltic. No point giving them a 5 year sentence. He will be an MP in the Duma by then with some chunky medals

I suppose the question raised by on-base action would be: If you were an armed guard and saw a figure wielding a crowbar near the engine casing of an RAF jet, would you pull the trigger rather than shouting a warning and tolerating the chance of damage? I think I might.

Believe it or not but during the height of the "troubles" when on guard duty back here in the UK as part of our duties we had to patrol the camp in which there was the armoury and separately an ammunition store, all we had to arm ourselves was an issued pick axe handle , finest chicory of course but the we never were sure what we were supposed to do in the event of intruders breaking in.

We have to be intolerant of the intolerance that characterises extremists. People encouraging an intifada in Britain are religious nut cases. If you can get three years for a social media post, they can expect very long terms.

Send them to the shitholes of the world they support. It’s about time we did something about this as it’s dragging our society to a standstill. Why have we got to put up with this day in day out….. more headlines more depressing news. And then you have that wretch Starmer spouting bile about the UK preparing for war. Really? Cowardly politicians have got us to this stage….there’s a minimum of 650 foot soldiers in Westminster who should be conscripted way before the canon fodder they see us as. Rant over.

Depends on the stations grading and what alert status they are on. The former the most important. As an example if it was RAF Honington they would have been scooping their brains off the floor, which is the reason no doubt they won’t target it. Specialist trained units like No6 RAF police are a reactionary force as are the 15 RAF Regt. Training was done at Hereford when I was in.
