Athletic are reporting he's set to join as a defensive coach. Quite the structure coming into place

"QPR have identifed lack of high potential defenders across Europe's top 5 leagues and believe Bould's expertise will have mid-to-long term benefits for the club"

Perhaps Bould's appointment will give us the edge in the signing of Amadou Mbengue.

That deal is already done and dusted.

Ref Bould joining. This is a club appointment, not new manager bringing a mate in.
A really good appointment for the club and we are starting to see a really strong background team coming together.

Very pleased about this one. I have a lot of Arsenal mates that rated his coaching hugley so he is a very welcome asset to the club.

Never knowingly right.

Yeah no question that on paper that’s a tremendous bit of business getting Bould in .

Only downside would wages , but other than that he could be key

What's your source on the Mbengue signing?

He coached me at university when he was taking his coaching badges circa 2001.

He was impressive and told someone to go to the opposite goal line, then proceeded to ping the ball, landing on the fellas toe...

Excellent news, welcome to the R's Steve.

Surely not even the most negative of our fans can find fault with this appointment.

Talksport describe the appointment as surprising.

Thank goodness it's Bould and not Morrow.

The grass is always greener.

A lot of experience and some questioning why he is taking on an assistant role.

I would think he wants to be in London again, probably family ties here and also he is 62, so like all of us when we get older, we are happy to have less stress for an easier life, and it's a decent enough role, but less pressure ie he is not top man.

An interesting appointment but having coached with Wenger for many years and at the level they were, am hopeful he can do well.
