I reckon if they offer 25m we'll let him go.
Proved to be a bit of a liability in the Prem.
Arguably our worst CB out of the 3 main ones.

i have the feeling he thinks hes better than he actually is,needs to get back to doing the simple things better, porto for 25 million would be a good deal for all concerned and might give us the leeway to keep fernandes which would be a bonus.

All a bit odd.

Surely Porto could find a better CB currently playing in Portugal for less than £19 million.....

the slower pace there might suit the way he plays

To be honest I wasn’t impressed with his performance last season.

Seems strange given the turmoil at the club at the moment, unless Farioli has seen something and when he becomes the manager, replacing the Argentinian Anselmi, thinks he can do a job? Would imagine that THB would prefer to stay in England though ?

I have a feeling he's a lot better than fans here think he is. He's always looked like a very classy player to me and a potential leader. One problem he faced here was that he came into conflict with the senior centre backs, especially Bednarek. With good players around him, he'll flourish. We saw a glimpse of that when he played for England, for whom I expect him to play many more times in the future.
