And Japan had 8 players making their debut 19 -7 up into the second half they should have been able to see it through

When the likes of Zcostelloe is picked , then that alone shows how bad we are It is utterly shameful These are well paid , full time professional sportsmen They represent a proud country Nah, let's not feel sorry for them Game in Wales clearly finished at international level Still, the anthem is lovely Innit

Wales were shocking in that 2nd half you could see the body language, Faletau deserves better why didn't Wainwright start he's one of the biggest players in the squad in a squad that lacks size, Japan went down to 14 mid first half and yet Japan dominated that period. You can blame the heat yes, but the heat shouldn't have dampened the desire, shocking performance. Didn't get to bed till nearly one and ideally wouldn't have got up, but my youngest woke and was unsettled so got up to give Mrs a hand to so put the telly on in his room. Watching AB's v France now great game, both these teams would put 80 plus pts on us. [Post edited 5 Jul 9:15]

The player pool is very poor, so any coach couldn't really do much better the best coach in the world could come in, but he'd still have the same player pool to pick from, you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.

Japan v Wales on 08:54 - Jul 5 with 1474 views | max936 | Our play and speed at the breakdown is far to slow and predicable, Hardy was really poor today, he's better than that. Our scrummage and lineout were poor as well, nevermind us been a 2nd tier rugby nation, we're well on our way to being a 3 tier rugby international team.

I agree however losing line outs in opposition 22 should never happen Lake is flaky as a thrower It's not that difficult You've played the game Ste, it's not brain surgery Few top coaches would fail to at least improve what we have We have reached a point when I fear it's actually getting dangerous for our lads to be on the same field as the top teams Lack of technique and application can be a real danger to health I ll end by saying it's shocking Codtelloe starts

Pete Yep I look players like Assersti and wonder if his life is in danger Seriously clearly 3 stone overweight , unfit , unable to run ten yards and in 40 degree heat Don't let anyone tell me I overrract in this regard It's a dangerous game Archie griffin has come back from bad injury but is sent skyward in a scrum by a Jap I believe we play Saffas later this year It doesn't bear thinking about Lives and limbs are at stake here As for Costello, he's a lad who can't kick, has no discipline, composure and is deceptively slow BUT he's earning good money as an international 10 Is there better? I'd say yes

Many many years ago in a conversation with the late Brian Thomas he said untill Wales can produce big hard forwards we would struggle, we are now back in that situation in my opinion, we both know the side that dominates up front has the better chances of a win our front 5 are small compared with most teams even the japanese, but hat second half performance was one if not the worst i have watched in many many years, and again does not bode well for the future

Need to do what England, Ireland and Scotland do and bring in players in from other countries and then add them through the residency route, it works for those, thing is there's not enough money in the regions to be able to do that to encourage them to come. It's not ideal but we may get somewhere then. I hate seeing us lose and it hurts to see us on this losing streak.

Relatively small That said , they should be quicker Ours are not As the game is now, they should still be able to win own lines out Often they don't That is unacceptable

But then the ‘we’ and ‘us’ becomes meaningless S. This is international rugby not club rugby. I’m totally against it and The Lions tour is slightly marred for me by the same token.

Not that I agree with it but if that is the way rugby is going, you either embrace it or get left behind. As is currently the case with Wales.

Graham Henry's Grannygate springs to mind but it was successful. There's loads of talent in New Zealand who won't make an All Black. Rather see home grown talent but we are really struggling for test quality talent.

Although I'm born bred Welsh , I despair at our mentality Are we naive, backward or plain stupid As a nation, we seem intent on insulting English tourists and demonising those who won't and can't speak Welsh Regarding rugby, we are decades behind Ireland , a country more interested in a game where men with clubs run around looking to which the ball into a football bet or over rugby sticks Yet, the Irish are street smart , we ain't We have to move with the times ,like having locks who can catch a ball, props not clinically obese and half backs that can kick a ball through the posts and find touch from ten yards NZ would be nowhere without the islanders for a start The " purest" are the Saffas , now they allow blacks to wear the jersey and not just cut up the half time oranges and clean the bogs France....God Almighty, we had an empire too Scotland seems attractive to those born bred on the high velt and good ol England don't give a mo keys Italy and the Japs too Wake the ferk up This team , as it is, does not deserve " support" It needs approbrium, it needs anger and hurt directed at them If they can't handle it, they could train as plumber, electrician or be a paramedic Right now , it is offensive

It’s been a miserable decade of infighting at the regional level and lack of leadership from the WRU which continues to this day. There is a lack of interest at club levels with matches being cancelled due to lack of players. Constant reorganisation of leagues has left a sour taste in long term supporters. Filling the gaps as suggested will help in the short term at both regional and international level. However as I’ve said in previous posts the WRU view the Principality Stadium as a money making operation and playing rugby there doesn’t raise as much as an Oasis concert.

I mentioned on the Lions Thread that I wasn't happy with foreign players getting selected, thing is that at International level it happens everywhere, Lietch the Japan Blind side Flanker and Captain is Australian by birth, he had a cracking game to even at the age of 36.
