First a Scottish Aussie striker who doesn't like scoring

Mr Bennie who is what you might call very raw.

And we have drafted in another couple this season too in Adamson and Pearman.

They all seem like longshots, but clearly there must be something that triggering the interest as the A League is quite lightweight generally and lacking in intensity ie a low number of matches per season.

Low risk I'd say. Competitively very small outlay and if they come good we can make a tidy profit on them.

And they're attracted to us to live in Shepherd's Bush, obvs

Shit but local

Yeah, I think Nourry's strongest point is his ability to think outside the box a bit. We're competing against a lot of bigger fish.

Iits now low risk though,it’s players being brought in who will either be started within a few week or so or taking spots up on the bench because we don’t have anyone else to fill the seats on the bench

It's acceptable low risk if Adamson is back up to Dunne.

Pearman looked well out of his depth today; needs to settle through the Dev Squad. Bennie has something about him if only we can work out what his position is. Needs a season long loan somewhere. Adamson looks energetic and athletic, but then so does Larkeche.

As with everything Nourry is trying, the only way we will know if he is the devil or the messiah will be through time. We have to wait and see...

Can we go out yet?

Using our competitive advantage wisely there!
What can you offer me that other clubs can't? The chance to be near your own kind 😁

Agreed on Bennie. I'm not sure what position he actually plays. One thing's for certain, we could have all told le gaffer even before yesterday's pummelling that he's not a RB

" thinking outside the box " ? - or just seeing what the data analysis algorithm comes up with and going with it - I don't see Nourry is sat at a table tapping his head winnie the pooh style - "think, think, think .... and coming up with a lightbulb moment -

I'm at a total lose as to what Bennie actually brings to the team, I don't think he should be anywhere near the first team , until he bulks up a bit , he looks so lightweight.

It’s how we ended up spunking money on Celar and Madsen.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Well, up to then we'd been doing the same as everyone else, but with less money, with predictable results.
For me, we'll really see what Celar and Madsen are about this season, for better or worse. But this system also brought us Varane, who I really like, and some promising young players. It's not all short termism, which may well be hard to stomach at times but may also reap dividends.

Or not.😆

We had an Australian once who according to Ray Wilkins was as ''versatile as an egg''.

He wasn't.

He could have been, though.
But just not at football.

You're not alone.

Yes he's young but I don't see a championship-level player in the making. At this stage, there are only two from that age group that are close to being in the first team for next season: Morgan and Kolli, that's it in my view.

most of these 'Aussie' players are a punt, most will not play many 1st team matches......

Same here. He had 12 appearances last season but I dunno what his position is supposed to be. Seems maybe left wing?
