im not sure where the cook is injry prone has come from ? he had a spell out due to a injury caused by over training it seems until then was pretty much ever present , club look like they dont want him here from the statement sounds familiar to a ex manager ? |
Not quite accurate Wombat. Cook had two injured spells last season. He started the season well but was injured just before Christmas. Steve then missed six league games and was an unused sub for one. He came back into the team, played in nine, of which he was subbed off in five, and then missed the rest of the season. In that second spell of playing, I thought and I believe many others did too, that he wasn't up to his previous standard. |  | | |

I don't really see any issues here - clearly Jimmy deserves the job and he's bound to play every game. Cook isn't getting any younger and getting more injury-prone so less likely to play as often as he did. But you can be sure that when he does play he'll still be a big voice/motivator for the team, even if he's not wearing the armband.
