Because its Welsh. The Westminster government is shit, whoever is in there. It's not helped by the stupid devolved governments behaving as if we are all unrealted, there is no Britain really, if there was they'd have looked after Port Talbot too.

Attitudes really need to change or we are screwed.

They could and should have, but they'd rather waste money on things that they shouldn't be wasting money on.
The Welsh Government could have done much more as well, I don't know how much it cost to pay for and plant 25 million trees in Rwanda but whatever it cost should have been spent here, vanity projects rule above all else though, but First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan, Baroness Morgan of Ely is very very proud of what they done, let's hope she's still very proud when here and her useless Government are chucked out on their arses next May.

The Senedd is investing in growth prospects like CWL (costing per head £7 a year) not a business that has been losing millions for years simply v because the workers wages are not globally competitive for these heavy industries. When it was nationalised and unionised it was about 3 x over maned.

Tata Port Talbot now has some sort of future. I stopped worrying about the workers of NPT when they voted to end free trade with Europe over immigration concerns in England.

The Senedd laid on jobs for these worker in Ineos Bridgend but the people of Bridgend took the advice of their cross dressing drink driving MP.

We get what we vote for. Blame is right here in Wales. You do what you always do and blame everybody else and Uganda who can show the people of NPT what real poverty looks like.

NPT will probably double down on Reform who want to reopen mines with no coal and no miners and reopen the old demolished blast furnaces as well as reform the NHS.

Hey ho crack on. If people want this then I accept it. This isolationist drive has some road left to run. We have the Asian immigrants but no Asians jobs.

Hasn't Scunthorpe steelworks been taken over by the government and still produces virgin steel. The rail network has given a huge contract through the government. Shouldn't the Senedd have pushed this for port talbot, after all they were voted in to represent Wales and they have failed miserably.

The closure of the old steelworks was several years in the making possible over 10 years. The coal mining was timed to end at the same time in Merthyr but they run out of coal before. That is why they were allowed to mine without planing permission.

Everyone knows how long planing permission takes but Tata is already cracking on. Funny that? The designs and planning were all in place.

The good news s that many many jobs have been secured and Port Talbot children will now have longer lives.

The Senedd made provision for these long sign posted redundancies with Ineos in Bridgend which the worker themselves aborted by supporting Brexit. Bridgend followed the advice their disgraced MP.

Scunthorpe looks a lot well managed. Lets see which plant is succeeding in the next decade.

Wales does not need a UK Government run steel business it needs a vibrant airport and aeronautics businesses which the forum rejects because pathetically it is another 30 mins east.

CWL loses millions every year, £7 per passenger in fact, it's not a coincidence, it shows that what you descibe is the Senedd paying off CWL's debts.

So you disagree with how people voted so feck them? Not a democrat then.

Ineos went to Germany because they got a better offer, it's that simple and Jim Ratcliffe said as much.

We od get what we vote for and we're not blaming anybody else OR Uganda, we are blaming the Senedd. You're just being ridiculous as usual.

Next bit....nonsense.

Last bit, how is it isolationist? Can you explain what you think that means? Not the word, the sentence.

All the hangers on during the news broadcast of the ARC furnace revolution on tele earlier wearing pristine TATA Hi Vis jackets , nice photo shoot .

My hi vis was covered in in grime and oil when the job needed doing , no cameras then .

Port Talbot Works will a be a hot topic to be argued about till the cows come home .

Radio Wales News reporting 2800 jobs will be lost overall .

It will be said they were well paid and have no axe to grind over their big wages past .

Cleaners , caterers and transport . all sub contracted out and on minimum wage will also be out of a job .

Not everybody in that Plant was on mega bucks .

So you believe what Sir Jim tells you. ? He is a Brexiteer and would never admit the Bridgend was lost because of Brexit but it was. The Senedd got the site ready and the referendum got in the way. The factory went to France. After Brexit the French got in fast and the Senedd did not have a chance due to the uncertainty. NPT voters self harmed despite numerous warnings.

They now blame the Senedd and will double down on Reform who have followed the Trump play book and made stupid promises like opening the coal mines despite no coal and no miners. Farage does not have a degree in Geology.

Crack on. Bridgend people voted for a thoroughly unsuitable chap or whatever. You get what you vote for.

The Electric arc was 10 years on the making the coal was available and the Ineos jobs were laid on by the " useless" Senedd. Welsh people follow the Essex wide boy instead. He is looking for 19 year old to go underground.. Yeah right.

One born every day especially in NPT Bridgend.

It had nothing to do with Brexit!!

The plans for Bridgend were halted when Mercedes-Benz - which has connections to Ineos from their involvement in Formula 1 - offered their Hambach site in Moselle, France.

Mercedes presented Ineos, with a state-of-the-art new factory on the Franco-German border - ready-built - versus the risk of building their own in Bridgend.

The factory Mercedes offered was already set up to build a 4x4 - so it was very easy for Ineos to move there to build their new 4x4 Grenadier.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Yes the French moved fast once the Brexit vote was done. It all happened after the Brexit vote not before..Bridgend never had a prayer after their own people self harmed.

Sir Jim said this.

"In a statement, Ineos Automotive, headed by Sir Ratcliffe, said the new site in Moselle, France, "gives excellent access to supply chains, automotive talent and target markets".

After Brexit Bridgend lost these factors.

Brexit has nothing to do with the closure of Port Talbot blast furnaces. They were making a loss of over £1 million a day. Not helped by the poor road infrastructure in South Wales particularly the Brynglas bottleneck. Nationalising it would saddle the Senedd with £365 million bill saddling everyone in Wales £100 bill a year or £250 for every working tax payers in Wales.

Closing the old furnace was a decade on the making. It was long annex to close.

The evidence of this is the coal mine closure in Merthyr was timed to this event. Senedd turned a blind eye to illegal mining without planning permission..

The second evidence is the extremely fast construction of the electric arc within weeks. UK does not move that fast in anything. It was long planned.

Scunthorpe or n the other hand was chaotic from what I read.
