It does seem a bit ridiculous that a team can have their most important game of the season a few weeks before the start of their League season.
Many a time Celtic or Rangers have ended up selling players (including to us) towards the end of a transfer window as they have already been knocked out of the Champions League.
Still, very interesting game.
I predict Rangers will get a decent result tonight and Brent will be God.

I know that, I have seen Panathinaikos play AEK Athens in the Olympic Stadium in Athens which at the time was the home ground for both of them.
Away fans were banned in Athens derby games due to a supporter being killed at one of them bizarrely not a football game but after a basketball game between Panathinaikos & Olympiakos
So it was a weird atmosphere with half the stadium packed and with fans sitting in the aisles and the other half of the stadium virtually empty | |

I think my personal favourite away trip was Bucharest. As BA hiked the return flights to Heathrow up from £49 to £849 (their website experienced technical difficulties whilst the draw was being made) a group of us flew to Budapest and got a wannabe Orient Express style sleeper train overnight to Bucharest and back the same way. We did a 5 day trip Mon > Fri, had an excellent time in Bucharest, ended up in one of the Ultras dens after the game and lived to tell the tale! We went in to rescue some Dutch Saints fans who obviously hadn’t read the memo about not going in there. Got surprisingly well received all things considered - I think the result helped. Ended up talking to the guy who was banging the drum during the game with the p/a system who started up all the songs. He was telling me about some of the rumbles they’d had with the Dinamo & Rapid ultras over the years. When we got a cab back into the city centre, he came out and spoke to the cab driver to make sure he didn’t rip us off, the poor guy was petrified and refused to take any money for the ride. |  |
