THE voice of Sabbath for me. RJD had a great voice but it just wasn’t Sabbath.

The best thing that ever happened to Ozzie was meeting his Mrs "O" - who got him far away from her father and eventual father in law - Don Arden.

Remember the first time I heard the Paranoid album. In a mates house. It would have been just beforehand the Punk explosion. Maybe a year or so. I'd never heard anything like it! Really dark doomy , huge bass, huge riffs. Borrowed the album took it home to play on our brand new all in one hi fi systems. Even my old man liked it. Well he liked the sound of it coming through his brand new speakers.
First 5 albums were superb. Particular favorite obviously Paranoid. Vol 4...great stuff and I loved Sabotage. | | | |

Paranoid was my best mates 33 LP vinyl back in the day .
I argued Fireball by Deep Purple was better then .
Somehow Free and Wishbone Ash found the happy medium between us though .
Classic Rock will now be replaced by youngsters playing with their laptops and gaining likes as their goal in music .
Likewiswe A1 generated rubbish I am forced to listen to daily .
Black Sabbath were a bit too heavy for me , likewise to Led Zepplin .
Glad I can still remember these greats to this day .

It's just been announced that Ozzy and the Back to the Beginning charity event in Birmingham, raised £140M for Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Cure Parkinson’s.
What a way to go out!!
