7th -16th more through hope than any particular reasoning as hopefully the club will realise that if we go up without planning for the Prem as last time, we'll suffer. But I cannot see the club (SR) realising that with the enda they seem to follow

Bearing in mind who we will most likely will lose,we need two major signings.Unless we do that we will reside mid table.
We will be at least top 6 even if Dibling and Fernandes go which I think they will. We still have a squad which is far better than most in this league. We could do with a couple more players though .

So you hope we don’t go up? Excellent, what happens next season?

Would love to go up providing it doesn't follow with a repeat of last season's embarrassment, but the vibes at zero hour right now with just 5 days to go don't feel good Nick has tried to instill some positivity but let's see what happens before this transfer window ends Let's hope no big offers come in for Fernandes, not too bothered re Dibling unless he has a change of heart and realises his bank balance will multiply in a few years time no matter what, and let's stuff the Taff's next Saturday

Almost all sides with parachute money finish in the top 6. That is the most relevant fact because there are so many other unknowns. Last time we were relegated we came down with Leicester and Leeds. All 3 clubs were straight back in the promotion hunt.
People over-estimate their expertise and think "this squad's no good" or "this manager has no experience". Forget it. The smart money (like the bookies) work from the "base rate" i.e. the statistics. The statistics say follow the money - those with parachute payments do well. The one exception is Luton, but we're much more like Leeds, Burnley or Sheff U than Luton.

What got us up last time was the loan market, not the permanent signings. Currently the goalkeeper , defence and wide areas look weak . The rest looks ok

You are totally right and that could well be the situation again, but none of those loan signings were in place at the start of the season, all came either in the last week or so of the transfer window or in January.
Flynn Downes 21st August Ryan Fraser 24th August Taylor Harwood Bellis 1st September Mason Holgate 25th August
We have plenty of time to go yet and we need to see who is staying or going before we bring people in

I have a feeling Ipswich might not do so well this season. Last time they came up they were on a Birmingham type run and had momentum. They came from no where and over performed. I think after a bad time in the PL and what with losing a lot of their better players, they will struggle to repeat their feat of two years ago.

Hard to know until the transfer window has closed. I’m still to be convinced by the manager though and if we go into the season with Bazuno as number one and fail yet again to sign a goalscoring forward we’ll fall short this time. 7 - 16 for me as it stands.
