No, can't feel sorry for the "guy". He signed the contract. Throwing a temper tantrum to force NUFC in selling him for less than what they could have gotten. Yes, would love to see Liverpool throw him under the bus, but that ain't gonna happen. Is there a rule against approaching players and their agents without permission from the club that holds the contract? If not, then this type of behavior might become commonplace. If I were NUFC, then I would consider some type of civil damages against Liverpool for causing damage to their club's reputation. Here in the US, clubs have to seek permission from the player's club before any negotiations or anything about contracts.

Salah has come in for some serious stick since Sunday, he wasn't himself but season ain't even started, more concerning for Slot was the performance of Van Dyke, Kerkez and I was expecting to see more from Wirtz, but I'll refer back to my comments regarding Salah. Its the same as the Swans, we weren't great Saturday from what I've read, but there's a long season ahead far to early to start jumping up and down.

Imagine NUFC ripping up his contract half through the season because they think he’s shte. He’ll probably never play for them again no matter how much grovelling and excuses he makes. The Geordie fans never forget or forgive a wretch.

When you say "It’s a shame that contracts mean nothing" you mean of course contracts mean everything. without a contract he walks for free. All Newcastle need to do is play hardball and Isak would have to relent. Morgan Gibbs White ended up smiling with the chairman having signed a new deal after he was certain to go to Spurs. He got a pay rise to make him feel better. NUFC will have to pay him it bit more to keep him sweet and not sulking.

MGW never withdrew his labour. I’m telling you now Res…the Geordi's will never forgive him
Alexander Isak on 22:43 - Aug 12 with 392 views | GVJack | It's clearly a dream move for him, but I have absolutely no sympathy. He signed a whopping contract that sets him up for life. If he thought he could earn better in a shorter period of time than his contract length then his agent should have insisted in having a minimum fee release clause attached. He's certainly biting the hand that feeds him and unfortunately the ones who will suffer the most are the fans. He'll get his move, although quite why Liverpool would want to sign a player who has 0 loyalty and will down tools as soon as a younger, better looking model walks past is beyond me. I hope Real, Barca or Paris come in for him in 2 years time (although I must stress I don't blame Liverpool in the slightest for this situation). Look at how Marc Guehi has handled transfer speculation over the last twelve months. He was subject to a massive and attractive bid from Newcastle last year, and rather than showing a complete lack of class he led his team to their first major trophy. He's still being touted for a big money move this summer but he's handling himself and the situation with humility and dignity.

Well they are, every player wants more money and after the season he had last season I don't blame him, but there's better ways of presenting his views than doing what he's done, he's not done himself any favours at all.

Of course they won't they idolised him and he's gone and pissed on his chips, if and its a big if in my opinion and he did go to Liverpool and has a great season two and RM or Barca came calling he'd no doubt kick off again, Liverpool won't want players with his attitude.

Alexander Isak on 00:51 - Aug 13 with 340 views | Robbie | Toys out of the pram time if he does not get his move , Eddie Howe in a no win situation . Geordie legend Mr. Shearer carefully chosing his wording over the situation and sitting on the fence . Slag him off and MOTD will not access to post match interviews at whatever Club pays the best and biggest bucks . Or Shearer falling on the side of a footballer who wants to be paid for his talents.
