Where is everybody who made that long midweek trip last night I cannot wait to hear their reactions or wait for the match report .
Was there any rumblings of this kids team being played and was it exciting being there with money well spent or another cluster fcuk cup defeat for QPR

I was informed on Saturday about the plans for the Team.....I just laughed, I could not believe what I was hearing!!!!!

Disgraceful decision by, apparently, Nourry!!! and even worse from the Manager for accepting the decision.

Ok

So suggesting people were bedwetting is OTT and I admit that, but lets be fair, every time we lose a cup game this forum goes into meltdown. We are NOT going to win this cup so why not try something different.

I watched all 90 minutes of the game last night, and of the 6 senior players who started I would say maybe only 2 marginally impressed me to any degree. I wont go into who as that's for somewhere else on this forum. I always want to see our club win a game no matter who is playing as well.

If the head coach had come out and said how disappointed he was etc etc, how do you think that would impact on the youngsters? Who said he is picking players to 'keep the CEO happy'? Perhaps THE COACH believes that's the best way to blood youngsters and expose them to senior football.

In truth I don't have much time for our CEO but as I see it you are just heaping the blame on him without the proof that he pushed for the selection or maybe you do.

But here is my big issue. The manager has managed just 2 games. What happened to giving a manager time? It will only end badly for him if people like yourself are not going to give him time.

We have also seen in the past, a manager try to show the board that we do not have the strength in depth and perhaps that was part of his plan last night.

Do I think that it was fair on the fans? Absolutely not, but when can he have them play in a senior game. The one thing I do believe is that the bench should have been a mixture of youth and senior players.

I was really p**sed when MC left if I am honest, but this manager has to be given time before we pass judgement - Did he help himself last night, probably not but some of the reactions on this forum this morning have been very extreme.

P.S - Its not the moral high ground its a difference of opinion.

Ok . Taken all the points on board .
I did say that I would move on from this but I actually want to show you the respect your post deserved by replying .

Firstly want to say that I’m in no way crucifying the head coach here .
He has impressed me with most aspects and I openly said on Saturday evening that I thought there was a visible improvement on our pattern of play in the first half to the football under Marti of whom I a big fan . I criiticised him last night but that doesn’t mean I won’t give him time .
On the contrary we have too.

Believe me, my main gripe goes way beyond the current head coach .

I do think there is a group of fans who for some reason take any criticism of anything to do with the club personally . Not saying you do but there are individuals.
They don’t need to . It’s football, it’s opinions and it’s bizarre.
I agree if people are being abusive or just saying stuff that’s blatant lies then they should be called out.
Along with the original slur , I’ve read keyboard warriors this afternoon . Let’s add that to ‘Trumpian’ from a day or 2 ago.
That is a sweeping , unjustified and disrespectful accusation to anybody I see posting on this message board .
This isn’t Twitter and thank goodness . I
I think that this message board is rich in knowledge and ideas and views , from every angle .
These are passionate fans that care deeply .
Some see things they don’t like . Some hear things they don’t like coming from within the club .
Some…know a little of what’s going on but cannot say .

But it’s concern and frustration that last night continued 1 or 2 trend's that doesn’t do our club any favours both on the pitch and off.

Anyway just wanted to address your main point .
I am fully behind Julien Stéphan.
But there are no other reasons , which I’ve asked and no one has given me a different reason, that when losing a football match with 5 mins to go , you’d put 2 16 year olds on who have never even been involved with any adult squad before.
If he thought they would turn that game around for us then they would have at least been involved in Pre season .
It wasn’t to win the game . It was a tick box excercise . And that’s my issue .

People can choose to look the other way . That’s ok.
But don’t be surprised when others vent their frustration.

Anyway as I said before .
Let’s look forward to Saturday where really he must get some sort of result or we again look frankly ridiculous

My own view is JS embarrassed himself as manager for doing exactly what you point out. It was shocking, indefensible, and he's burnt off credibility with me (and I imagine others) after two games as a result. That's on him, Nourry, and the club.

I thought you were all for being level headed? Talk about an over-the-top reaction. Wow.

So it's an OTT reaction to our manager deliberately fielding (a side or agreeing to field someone else's side) that was almost sure to lose that game, make what have been generally agreed to be box-ticking subsititutes to get 16 year olds on the pitch later on, and smile about it after.? In that case, I'm happy to be called an extremist!

I'd say my response is if anything muted and moderate, all things considered, but if you're happy to be shafted by the club while setting yourself up as a power of leve-headed reason, be my guest! I call it delusional.

When did teams first start cheating their fans and themselves with this abject cynicism in the Cups? And what made them think they could get away with it?

I know this won't be enhance my dizzying popularity with some, but the fans turning up in nearly four figures tonight are, for me, actually part of the problem, because it means JS can thank us for our support and kid himself it was all fine. In my view, we should vote with our feet.

The manager has burnt off credibility for you after two games.

Thats the most reactive and ridiculous comment, i have ever read on here Stainrod and from you, i expect better. You are normally so level headed, stable and fair !!@@

So you want him gone then.

If he has already burned all his bridges !!!

WOW !!!!@@

If the boys had held on for last ten, instead of conceding and won on pens, you would have had the same reaction. They were only ten minutes away from that opportunity...

Not beyond the realms.

I am eternally grateful, you do not hold the reins in charge of the good ship Rangers then Stainrod.

We can all praise the powers that be, for that !@@!

The issue for many is that we were not expecting much against preston and were pleasently surprised by the patterns of play and pace the side now displayed.

In his second competetive match in charge he played an under 23's side in a game that was supposed to include at least a few 1st teamers to keep up apperances and it seems he just didn't get that. Or as has been suggested was by some incuding me, is that he was directed to play them by someone else.

Now ask yourself, who likes to write the theme tune and sing the theme tune at rangers? You need to decide which one it was, and if the answer rhymes with 'fisting a tory' then that leaves the manager compromised and with egg on face too. If he did select that side from his own free will then I assert he's is a card carrying bellend who shrugs to much.

Opinions to one side, its a strange set of affairs either way.
