People that went to Plymouth tonight - What was the general feelings re the team 23:36 - Aug 12 with 2222 viewsnumptydumpty

Wondered what the loyal fans that travelled a heck of a distance to see this..

What was the general vibe amongst the fans there tonight and how did anyone personally feel - as you all took a lot of time out of your weeks to travel all that way to nearly have an entire squad of youth players presented before you.

Should imagine a bit of a roller coaster of a night....

They closed the bleeding M4 so just back. Support was good throughout if a bit quiet after the sucker punches after half time. Plymouth dominated the game and deserved to win. All fans around me supportive of team and didn't hear any dissent. In fact many stayed to clap the youngsters off. To focus on the positives the two centre backs looked good especially the guy from South Africa. I can see him playing at the highest level in the future. Vale good and really liked what Burrel brings to the team. Nardi outstanding and must surely start on Sat. He was the most passionate player on the pitch as well. Fair play to them all and all the fans and the workforce working in the middle of the M4 as we speak.

I have never really got this argument regarding fans attendance and the strength of the team . Its the same in the summer when there are posts saying they won't renew until they see how the squad shapes up .
I would love to have the spare cash and time to follow the team home and away . If I did I don't think the team selection would deter me from going as it doesn't when I renew my ST . I would be interested to hear if any that did travel feel "insulted or disrespected " by the team we put out .

Think you might want to watch the goals again. Nardi at fault for 2, if not all 3.
Don't think he'll play again.

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

It was the best and worst of Nardi. Walsh hasn’t done a lot wrong and there is one huge flaw to Nardi’s game that any team can expose quite easily. If you have Dunne at RB and two huge centre-halves you can cover for that to an extent and rely on him to do what he can do very well but a small defence with Nardi behind is going to concede soft goals from set pieces and crosses.

I was there. In general the atmosphere was supportive, I think if you've gone all that way you might as well make the best of it! Personally, I was OK with the starting team, the issue I have was the bench, if we'd have had 3/4 first team lads to help the boys in the second half we'd have won, the boys would have still developed and learnt, if not learnt more.

Yes, I think that is a very valid point. We could easily have changed things at HT having inflicted that sucker punch on them. It was only an early goal in the second half that was going to turn that around and guess what..... (and for the second game running)

I think a lot of people like to see the youth given a chance but not having more experienced players on the bench was the big mistake for me.
