Saints are in talks with Coventry for this guy. I don't know about lot about him but he sounds like a great signing.

He is a playmaker, 24 years old, having played 43 times for Coventry last season and scored 9 goals from midfield, with lots of assists. He previously played for Huddersfield, again in the Championship. He's viewed as Coventry's best player by most fans, whi are desperate for him not to be sold.

So he has decent Championship experience. He scores goals and he creates chances. He knows this league. Not too young, but has plenty of time too to get even better. Apparently Coventry want 15 million plus, which is fair enough. Get it done Saints and stop fussing about with inexperienced players from across the globe. This is the sort of signing, that I would applaud and welcome. But will we do it?

WS said last night in a sarcastic, frustrated but hopefully tone "Hopefully we get a few players in this week, but I have been saying for this for a while now, I know!" In other words, get me the players we need. I hope they for once support this manager with the proper resources he needs.

Good player.

We have plenty of players we could offer in part-exchange.....

I doubt anything will happen for a couple of weeks.

Agents will be busy touting their players to all and sundry.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dibling and Fernandes stayed, and we just got the 3 in on loan who Frannies Tache mentioned, and that would be it.

The club are not going to want to spend big money, and I can’t see the Armenian coming here.

Maybe they are waiting to see a deal done for Fernandes or Dibling. Not sure they'd spend £15m without seeing some cash coming in.

He would be a good signing for us, but I doubt Coventry would let him go for anything less than £20 mill. He's their best player.

Got to be right and he is going to need some financial persuading to come too.

He was let down a bit at Coventry last season last season in terms of recruitment to match his level - particularly up front where Ellis Simms and Hadji Wright both blow hot and mainly cold. Rudoni was often the one scoring the important goals as well as being the most creative in midfield.

He could be the missing link for us.

We won't sign him unless we sell Dibling and / or Fernandes, and as each day goes by, I think that becomes less likely.

I see that Rudoni played for Cov today.

Would be great for us if we could somehow get him.

We shall see.

Didn't see Rudoni play today but I see that he had the lowest rating in the Coventry team.
Perhaps he had other things on his mind.

Well Frank didn't sound too optimistic on keeping Rudi when asked yesterday. And I see West Ham were well beaten 3-0 by Sunderland today, so I'd imagine they'll come back in for Fernandes?
