If the FA/EPL really cared they'd dock Liverpool points - this would stop it pretty quickly. If the police/courts cared they'd make a massive example of this individual. The combination of points deductions and meaningful legal repercussions would make clubs ensure no away fans get into home ends (ie trying to get a rival team a points deduction - plus solve a sore point that has existed for years) and it would deter any morons from doing it.
Seems pretty simple but all comes down to whether they really care about it that much or not. More likely they (teams and EPL) are more worried they might not make as much money if they make it restrictive/come down on a top team with huge global following. | | | |
