Jake Clarke-Salter 14:04 - Aug 25 with 2435 views | stainrods_elbow | What the f*ck is going on with him? Obviously, the club won't be shedding a single shaft of light on it, so is anyone ITK? Hip injury in training in January, then surgery, and we're now nearly 8 months on in September. The news blackout is just unreal. What did he do to his hip - eat it? At what point do we just try to come to an agreement on this fella's contract? He's 28 next month and he's played barely 150 games! [Post edited 25 Aug 14:07]

Indeed, it did seem to me that they have improved some aspects of the communications. Including this. Always worth a check on the offy even if it’s just to find something to get annoyed about!
Jake Clarke-Salter on 14:16 - Aug 25 with 2287 views | BklynRanger | I do agree, yet Nourry keeps talking of him as one of our promising assets. He was standing pretty casually in his tracksuit after the Dutch friendly, trying to help Kolli think something through. Well it's probably unfair of me to assume he felt relaxed on the inside, but he looked it to me. I checked his appearances per season since 2022 last week and it's something like 11, 33, 13.

I'm far more used to him being on the sick list than a player, lets hope he's put his injury woes well and truly behind him....it must be horrendous for him emotionally. Signs a new contract then wham.....please dont say what you are all thinking

Personally if he’s fit for 30 games a season (big if) he’s one of the best players QPR own and is a good age profile still

He's hit that target once in his career. Would you bet your money on it happening? Post surgery?

All good if he then returns to play the rest of the season uninterrupted, but there is almost no chance of that based on every season of his career to date . If he lasts 8 games after that it will be a miracle . I feel for him. He obviously can’t help it , but it’s starting to grind my gears now…..like a lot of things down there

Probably still recovering from the 33 to be fair.

His numbers are so suspect that it's a little bit of a case of never knowing if he's crying wolf. This injury required actual surgery, I hope for him and us that it fixes the underlying cause. His goodwill account balanace is getting low. Ironically he reminds me of Keiron Dyer when we were nursing him on our money. Quality on the rare occasions you saw them. If he plays 10 games I'll be both amazed and impressed.

Giving it the whole "The news blackout is just unreal", "Obviously, the club won't be shedding a single shaft of light on it, so is anyone ITK?"... When there's a post 2 weeks ago answering every question he has. I'm not sure why the downvote and response, it is feeding into the outrage to come to these conclusions without even looking

Take a chill pill yourself, mate - I missed a memo, big deal (which I acknowledged above, though you seem to have missed it). I've read and written plenty about this club over many years, so don't try to lecture me!

Jake Clarke-Salter on 17:05 - Aug 25 with 1409 views | Watford_Ranger | We might get three games out of him around Halloween and then a solid run of 20 when he’s due a contract if we’re lucky. If he was a horse he’d have been shot.
Jake Clarke-Salter on 17:30 - Aug 25 with 1322 views | gazza1 | Decent player but injured far too often and for far too long......big call what to do with him but I am not sure I would give him another contract. Not sure, either, what is costs the club financially when a player is out injured.
Jake Clarke-Salter on 19:17 - Aug 25 with 1028 views | Rsole | Good that we now have RND’s injuries to deflect from JCS’s. Double barrelled but rarely available.
| Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Jake Clarke-Salter on 19:20 - Aug 25 with 1010 views | EuroRanger | If this is a Field situation where the surgery "fixes" his problem and he plays consistently then I can live with it, if he goes back to being injured shortly after then he's frankly stealing a living...
Jake Clarke-Salter on 21:21 - Aug 25 with 716 views | CamberleyR | I've said it for ages that I think Glass-Salter needs to find a new profession as his body just doesn't seem to be up to the rigours of being a professional athlete. [Post edited 25 Aug 21:23]

I wouldn't give him a new contract in a million years.
Jake Clarke-Salter on 21:32 - Aug 25 with 616 views | rbee | To have a fully fit and available JCS would be amazing, one of the best central defenders in our league. For me this is still a pipe dream.

I imagine the club have insurance against long term injury. Then again, the insurance company would probably up the premiums. When my gorgeous MGB was stolen from outside the church, the insurance company wanted to double my premium. Gawd didn't keep an eye on the car either.
Jake Clarke-Salter on 21:42 - Aug 25 with 500 views | ingeminate | He’s had surgery. He won’t have made that up. Scans etc. if he hadn’t had injury problems he’d never have ended up here. Fit, firing he’s class. Probably mid prem class. Never understood - as frustrating as it is - why anyone would give (genuinely) injury prone players a hard time. It’s shit being injured, he’ll want to play football. Hopefully comes back strong and post surgery has a decent run of it.
