Saito signs on 11:38 - Aug 26 by Loyalitat | Indeed. For a player who hasn't played a competitive game since April. I agree with the general consensus; he's likeable but the fact is that it's unlikely that he'll be ready to play/contribute in any great way for a good while yet, due to his inactivity since April. As for referencing his poor, my view, stats: goals to games (over 40 games last season), and blaming that on the forwards, it didn't prevent Chair from contributing 6 assists and 2 goals in just 28 games or Kolli contributing 3 assists and 5 goals in a mere 21 games. He has to do better. [Post edited 26 Aug 12:08]

He said in his interview that he's ready for Saturday so I'm not sure where this narrative about him not being ready has come from. I wouldn't expect him to start, but off from the bench Saturday then 2 weeks international break to settle in properly. I don't think it's as big of a deal as you say Then as for the end product, well we all know he needed some time to settle in, he also had to fill in as left back for a while. Then even though stats prove it (with the successful take ons), I think it's important to look away from the stats and look at the games themselves. The amount of times he'd beat his man, put in a low ball into the 6 yard area and there be no striker, no one anticipating the cross. I think this will change massively with Kone who has shown he's a natural goal scorer. You're right the numbers should improve and they will. We're still talking about someone who was 5th in GA contributions last season in the team though. Everyone needs to improve with end product, nothing new with QPR [Post edited 26 Aug 11:51]
