Welcome back… had bags of energy last season & if he can compete for 90+ minutes he will be a big step up from what we’ve got.

Such an infectious character even though his English is still very limited.

Even if he was useless, almost worthy of a place in the squad as to stop the team from delving into the depths of doom, if they ever lose 7-1.

But he is also decent and i expect him to be much improved and have more impact in terms of goals and assists this season too.

If its £2.8 million as stated, thats decent, probably with add ons, dependent on his impact.

Can see Smyth being moved on myself, which if we have to, then fair enough.

But myself am all in for Koki.....

I am so so happy !!!

Really not sure about this signing. We are back to Saito, Chair, Dembele and Smyth. Three more and we'll have the whole set.

Seems very likeable, but is he what this team really needs, unless he is replacing Smyth?

I suspect these would have been stretched out over the week had we not shït the bed against Coventry.

This.

You don’t like Nourry’s cooking here?

And you think he appointed a bad head coach, who was at fault for the hammering we took on Sat?

You are full of surprises.

Best signing of the summer for me. Think he is a better left winger than anyone else at the Club and like Smith he helps the back with his aggressive defending. My guess is he will be worth a lot more than £2.8 M we are supposedly paying in a season or two. He is also great to watch. I'm very happy too.

Seems like a big price to me! Still, long season ahead will need every able bodied player to see it through!

Nearly £3m is a lot for a bloke who smiles a lot and not a lot else. This looks like a panic buy to me unfortunately.

No, I thought the same thing. It’s not making stuff up to get angry about just an observation that the club hierarchy recognised that the proverbial would hit the fan after the weekend and this triple announcement ahead of the training day allows those new players to be on show and everyone will be queuing up for a photo with Koki.

If true then you can’t blame them.

Hayden + RND are the sensible signings in principle and Koki is the feel good signing who brings a smile to our faces.

Important to put things right VERY quickly on Sat lunchtime.
I can see RND straight in to take the heat off of the young left back but I suspect Hayden is a few games out of being in contention to start.

Said I'm not sure about the signing as I think the CM still needs strengthening. However, as Smyth has not signed a new contract then I can only assume Saito could be his replacement. What's wrong with that?

And yet again, I don't think Nourry has appointed a bad coach, naive yes, but I've never said it was a bad appointment. It's to early to make a call either way.
What does it matter anyway if I did think Stèphan was bad, according to the conspiracy theorists CN picks the starting team and sets them up.

Strange though that all these players are signing for the club despite evil CN and his cronies. Why is that?

Not what we need. Money should have been spent on a midfielder.

Great for the ‘project’ though with potential sell on.
[Post edited 25 Aug 20:26]

As a person - top bloke. As a player - not going to add anything to a position we are over-loaded in. More pleased to see Hayden in as he might give a bit of steel to mid-field. But £2.8 M for a club that doesn't have a pot to pee in, is nonsense and makes a mockery of the 'project'. If we have (once again) ripped up the script as soon as we get a bit of cash, then go the whole hog and spend that 2.8 plus another 2.8 if necessary to land Ronnie and actually improve the team in an area that needs strengthening (not a huge fan of Morrison). A player that is comfortable playing out from the back, passing the ball forward and breaking the lines and will have a genuine re-sale value, even if Southampton have a significant sell-on clause included.

Brings some heart back to the QPR team and with Burrell and Kone infront of him and Chair and Dembele we have some great options now.

Great signing. His energy will help us defensively as well

Mentioned this in a previous thread, but last year Saito was 1st for successful take ons and 2nd for tackles in our team just showing his versatility for us last season. With the bedding in period done I really feel like he can take off this season. Expecting a large increase with assists especially with Kone in the side

Yes, hopefully with better forwards (Kone), Saito's runs and pull backs will result in more goals than last season.

I fondly recall him having to fill in at left back, and becoming our best left back

Height aside, excellent player for ball control in a team that really struggles with that when confidence is down (which is 60% of the season).

Did well filling in at LB and potentially could be a nice pairing with Vale on the left side as either of them can switch interchangeably between LB / LW. Will be interesting to see whether his stats improve with Kone in the team.

Shame very few players we sign or have in the squad seem up to match fitness

Indeed. For a player who hasn't played a competitive game since April.

I agree with the general consensus; he's likeable but the fact is that it's unlikely that he'll be ready to play/contribute in any great way for a good while yet, due to his inactivity since April.

As for referencing his poor, my view, stats: goals to games (over 40 games last season), and blaming that on the forwards, it didn't prevent Chair from contributing 6 assists and 2 goals in just 28 games or Kolli contributing 3 assists and 5 goals in a mere 21 games.

He has to do better.

I think he will. The first half of his spell here was settling in to a new club, new league, new country. I thought he improved as he went on.
