This is our rolling transfer deadline day window. As it happens and from sources from Sky TV to our very own. On the crest of a wave with the Swans.
Sunday
7pm - ⚽️ Let’s start with where we are. Incoming - Adam Idah has been in Swansea since 8pm last night ( Saturday) We are hearing his final conversation with Brendan Rodgers was a one way very direct and well deserved goodbye. Rumours of the Swans paying £6M up front are quite laughable. Would send the PSR debt sheet into meltdown.
⚽️ The Swans as we have always stated are in the market for a forward / attacking addition on loan, apparently Crystal Palace player, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. We have looked into this and as it stands we aren’t getting close to anything concrete.
⚽️ We have it on good authority that the Swans are actively now looking to offload Ollie Cooper and Josh Ginnelly. Head Coach, Alan Sheehan has been cagey but today there’s interest.
⚽️ Inquiries have been fielded from interested clubs for Zǎn Vipotnik, but nothing that gives an indication a deal is close or even wanted by the player or Swans.
⚽️ 10:15pm : Heard news of a full back being in the bag earlier. Waited for a close source to confirm it. That source states it’s a left back, sourced from mainland Europe. Not completely done but will sail through tomorrow morning. Too many inaccuracies out there atm to take anything for granted but this one is good.
⚽️ Jesurun Rak-Sakyi of Crystal Palace ? Been told he was never a target will probably go to Scotland. Can only mean one of two clubs.
⚽️ 11pm : Getting info on one Ishé Samuels-Smith, more in the morrow.
Monday Midday.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
SWANSEA INDEPENDENT : 24 HOURS OF TRANSFER UPDATES on 23:19 - Aug 31 by KeithHaynes
Has to be declared though. Can’t hide it. Spoke to an ex director of a premier league club yesterday, he stated he doubts if a full deal has been done by anyone in the last twenty years.
I’m going with him. The figures this summer plus six million mentioned today just don’t match up. Every deal has been done this summer with payments structured and a first payment agreed. The Swans also now spread the agents fees over the length of the players contract.
If there has been huge investment we or others would have known about it.
I expect fee to be undeclared. I doubt if Celtic actually paid the £9 million reported, but I suspect they will be looking to leak an inflated overall transfer fee to the press for PR reasons.

def won’t have paid anyhting near the fee to Norwich, but they will need to carry on doing so for sure. Hearing that. 22- 25% sell on clause has been agreed. That’s about it though.

Excellent window so far Assuming the young full back is confirmed then hopefully either Vip stays or if he does go then another forward in Plus two or three out of the fringe players

Even if there had been massive investment [I don't believe there has because its shown nowhere and it has to be to comply with EFL and company rules] we couldn't spend it because of PSR.

Am I right in understanding that PSR means basically the more money we get in through gate money, sponsorship, TV rights and commercial activity including on match day, then the more we can spend ? But not money invested by Modric, Snoop and the major investors ? Or have I got that wrong ?

Correct. Our owners have more wealth than most in football but are limited to where they can spend it in the Championship. But certain costs at football clubs such as running an academy, women's team and infrastructure are not included in the PSR. So we could see them spend money upgrading the academy and stadium without breaking the rules. Squad strengthening is outside the rules.

Basically yes.
Barring certain areas like youth development, our spending is largely restricted by our income. A certain amount of loss can be written off I believe, but the days of people like Jack Walker just spending their team to success are over.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yes the loss limit is £41.5m over a three-year rolling cycle.

If for example we had a deal in the pipeline for stadium sponsorship or shirt sponsors next year etc. - we could potentially speculate that income now on players knowing we'll be good for the money under PSR right?

Only if that money can be recognised in accountancy terms before the current year end (30/06/26)

True but I think the current owners wouldn't take any chances with PSR and it would need to be signed and in place by 30th June. The Gulf Oil Stadium does sound nice.

Aha it does... or we could do 'Death Row' (would of been the perfect name for that spell last season)
