£69.8m profit on transfers.
Great work Sport Republic.

Chuck in the £49m parachute payment…
No wonder Solak loves the club.

Should help fund the new soft play area (Quote: Level 1 will be one of the South Coast's largest mixed entertainment zones' End Quote) in the Chapel stand.........

Southampton FC - Leading Where Others Follow

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......
Poll: Where do we think Dibling will be plying his trade next (2025 / 2026) season??

If only we’d sold Aribo we could have made a late bid to hijack Isak’s move to Liverpool and broken even 🤣

I’ll get my coat…

James Bree has also gone (to NJ at Charlton). Short term loan deal to January only but I think his contract is up then.

I have done a rough tot-up of the total wage bill without any in depth research and I reckon we will be saving a considerable amount in total as some high earners have departed. OK, we have 8 or 9 incoming, depending on whether the Football League approve the last minute Leo Scienza deal (WHY do clubs leave things SO late?) but they will be coming in on Championship wages not PL wages. I guess Aziz & Fellows will probably have got good deals but nothing like what a few of the departing players were on. I reckon the total saving will be into 8 figures annually but as I say, I have not done any detailed research.
If he’s not going to be used, it’s a shame Aribo, mentioned elsewhere, could not be moved on as he is another on PL wages.

Why do we need another soft play area? We already have SMS.

Ramsdale was on big money for a reason.
Meanwhile we persist with Bazunu.

Totally agree, I think we will live to regret not replacing Bazunu in this window. If £10m-£12m is all it takes to get a Championship club (apart from us!) to part with one of their best assets, such as Fellows & Aziz, (which neither manager wanted them to go), then surely a similar bid for the Stoke keeper would quite likely have been successful. We are now stuck with Baz until January by which time the damage done in terms of goals conceded will be irreparable.
The main reason for my original post was to say you can add another £10m/£15m, maybe more, to the amounts quoted for profits on sales v purchases plus the parachute payment, but yes, you are absolutely right, Ramsdale was on big money for very good reason.
