Can you still loan in players outside of the summer transfer window ?? 13:57 - Sep 2 with 2552 views | numptydumpty | Unsure, so googled but if anyone ITK on this, can you confirm we cannot or can still loan in players.... The following information seemed to suggest we could do so. 1) You can still loan in players in the first half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in November 2) And in the second half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March. 3) An existing loan deal can be made permanent at any time outside the transfer window. 4) Also, we can sign free agents at any time of the season. As long as there is space in first team squad of 25, currently we could perhaps have two or three places still available. Players 21 or under can be listed in first team squad or the main squad. We can have a maximum of five loans in, at any given time. I think currently we only have one, Nourington - Davies. If anyone ITK on this, as if the exact wording that i have seen, surely that would still mean, up to the end of November, we could loan in, for example, Ronnie Edwards and then could still make it permanent at any given time also. If this is all true, apologies immediately to all those transfer window haters, as there would then be no escape from the merry go round ever !!!!! [Post edited 2 Sep 14:03]

Can you still loan in players outside of the summer transfer window ?? on 14:32 - Sep 2 by cpgerber | Club website has 25 in the first team of which only Morgan is U21. So we only have one slot open, it seems. Vale turns 22 next week, not sure what the cut-off is to qualify as "under 21". I guess 20 or younger when the season starts? They still have Taylor Richards there. (I didn't count him in the 25) [Post edited 2 Sep 14:33]

Yes so guessing possibly two or three on loan or loan to permanent is allowable. So if Edwards or the like at centre back or centre mid could still be loaned in as possible. It did say also emergency loans could be brought in, if squad fully stocked at twenty five players. Think we used this several times when we had seven or more goalkeepers play for our first eleven a few seasons ago. [Post edited 2 Sep 15:32]

The Prem refers to them as 'Temporary Transfers'.
Can you still loan in players outside of the summer transfer window ?? on 17:44 - Sep 2 with 1786 views | BrianWilliamsBeard | I think the OP information is very out of date. These days loans are either half season or full season and can only take place during transfer windows. Recalls can also only happen during transfer windows. The exception is an emergency goalkeeper loan which, subject to strict rules, can happen at any time.
