Wales v Canada : Match day thread & Team News 09:38 - Sep 6 with 6144 views | ModeratorC | First game in Swansea for 5 years. First game people can watch for twelve years. The most recent senior Wales men’s international at Swansea.com Stadium was a 0–0 friendly draw against the United States on 12 November 2020—played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, the last match with fans present was a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Croatia on 26 March 2013. Doomed to fail again ? Or, will this game sell out ? The latter is looking to be the favourite. Joe Allen’s career will be celebrated at Tuesday evening’s match against Canada at the Swansea.com Stadium, with a pre-match presentation for the 77 time capped former Cymru international. Wales : A. Davies; Kpakio, Cabango, B. Davies, N. Williams; Crew, J. James; D. James, Brooks, Wilson; Mark Harris. Subs: Darlow, King, Mepham, Lawlor, Koumas, Cullen, Johnson, Moore, Norrington-Davies, Thomas, Andrews, J. Colwill.

Me too. I’m not particularly fussed on the game itself, but supporting international games being played here. Plus Bellamy has made us competitive and fun to watch again (not so much on Thursday but generally). There’s a buzz about the Swans and Wales at the moment and it’s refreshing.

Only a few tickets seem to be available, but the bbc Cardiff media spout there’s 6,000 tickets remaining. Cardiff for friendlies can’t get more than 13,000 or so in very recent times. Wrexham, the last time Wales players there was 10,008 in 2023.

I was there for that one, if their ground held more then it would have sold more. Are you saying the kerdiff based media are fudging the figures to say that they are bigger than us? Never 😳

If there's 6k still available then they're not available to buy on the FAW ticketing website because there's only 2 blocks showing with more than a single seat availability, and one of those is the away end!

Yeah then why not! FB I went to the first Euro 2016 game in Bordeaux and had a brilliant time and felt part of something special even though felt a bit like going to a party but not really invited to. My first Wales away was Slovakia 2007? Only about 500 Wales fans, 8 of us went from Swansea and where on our toes for 3 days, I wore an old burgundy Marcon SCFC training top I had off a player, as soon as we landed we bumped into WXM "boys" and they said I was brave wearing that as there were loads of cardiff. That night in some pub we were singalled out back cardiff and the whole pub turned on us. In the game at half time I was having a dump and I heard that Corky fella shouting out to some cardiff boys "There are some Jack's here I'll show"... When I came out he was by the burger place and made a point of coming straight up to me and said "Oh hello Jack" this from a man who is supposed to be Welsh Football Ambassador, leaving the game a SW Police liason officer came up to us and said "Are YOU load THE Jacks" and told us to keep our heads down.

The look on his face in France 2016 when literally hundreds of Jacks came out of the train station. Didn’t see anyone fancying it that day. All in red, following Wales.

Wales v Canada : Match day thread & Team News on 19:08 - Sep 9 with 1195 views | builthjack | The FAW have not made it easy to buy tickets. It’s a bit like Swansea. Awful. There should be announcements all over social media about tickets available on the day. I haven’t seen anything. At Cardiff you are able to buy tickets on match day if there’s any available.
