Rick Davies of Supertramp - RIP 10:07 - Sep 8 with 1131 viewsNorthantsHoop

Supertramp's Rick Davies has passed away at the age of 81. Some brilliant songs alongside Roger Hodgson in those classic 70s albums from Crime of the Century to Breakfast in America.

RIP Rick. In their pomp, they were amazing, some of the songwriting was incredible, an intoxicating blend of pop, rock and jazz. I saw them live in Paris in the late 80s and even though Hodgson had left by then, they were still great and came across as really enjoying their work.

I've always found this song very moving, so hopefully, it's appropriate here:

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Talented bunch. Caught a live recording of them in Holland on tv, very good.

TV show Nationwide had a segment in it yonks ago and played this brilliant piece of music. I found out it was the track schools. Still think it’s great however if I never hear Breakfast in America again I will be fine.
