The fact that the Canton dog botherers feel the need to "Gatekeep" the Wales team is one of the main reasons why I rarely bother with it.

All this "Together Stronger" stuff is exceedingly condescending. It's not how they think. They never have, and anyone who believes otherwise is lying to themselves.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It isn't just about them doc.

Yes a few of them have got and always will have a problem but most are decent.

If you and other people who comment about wales actually went to games you would actually be able see why its right to be called together stronger.

I get that some dont like international football but imo people who dont go or experience it shouldn't omment about it.

I have been to Wales games in the past, although none since they decided to play almost all games at Legoland.

There are a number of reasons why I lost interest. The atmosphere at Wales games where there seemed to be more than few determined to turn them into Cardiff home games. The general contempt in which the FAW held Swansea City until it needed our players. The way International football is played these days (although in fairness lots of football is, which is why I basically now only watch the Swans and even they made it difficult under Cooper/Martin/Williams).

I'm the same with Glamorgan cricket. Used to love Glammy until the committee turned it into Cardiff CC. Now I couldn't care less what happens to them.

Whilst Winston and Zi wouldn’t be on each others dinner party list , he does speak for me here
It’s not a case of anyone turning their back on Wales , just the sheer contempt of many decades towards Swansea
It’s still treated as an irrelevance by Welsh media
As for this game , just a shame a really meaningful game was played here
“ moved from Cardiff” … the foookn cheek

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Thats fair enough doc.

It is a disgrace that home games are held just there but in fairness its over 50% bigger than ours and since they started playing all competitive games there its been a great atmosphere, nothing like a cardiff home game.

Unfortunately there is no way they will take games away from there unless both us and wrecsam up the capacities of our grounds.

Let's hope that the crowd get behind the team and shove that bile back down the kerdiff centric media.

I actually don’t want them to take games away from there, at least not the qualifiers. I’m all for friendlies here and Wrexham, but think an international team should have a ‘home’.

I don’t go very often, but every time I have, you’re right, the atmosphere is completely different to twenty years ago when it was basically Cardiff idiots more interested in Jack hunting than watching the game.

The atmosphere is great, the players feed off it and you can just get more people in.

None of the above in any way diminishes by dislike for CCFC and their fans. Going there to watch the Swans and going there to watch Wales are chalk and cheese, but I have to admit, I enjoy both atmospheres.

I agree the atmosphere when we beat Austria was very good. It still good to have friendlies at our stadium now and again. Hardly anyone mentions club rivalry at Wales games just the odd comment that we live in their shadow. A shadow I cannot see.

The reality is we don’t.

They have bigger attendances by virtue of being a bigger city. Any other metric we blow them out the water.

If my great grandkids are going on about us winning the league cup in 100 years time, I’ll be embarrassed.

Out of curiosity I held my nose and looked at the football section of walesonline.

There are a number of sections titled Football, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham and Wales Football Team and each section have a number of reports within it on the five teams plus other football related bits and pieces. I went through each section and counted the number of sections reporting on each of the five teams. Wales had six, the Swans had six, Wrexham had five and Newport had two.

Cardiff had fourteen.

I thought i'd mention this just in case any of you have any doubt what a thoroughly biased, amateur, joke of an organisation the whole setup is.

Walesonline has been a joke for years. Same with BBC Wales. As a club we outgrew both of them in about 2008.

Compare the respect we get from the likes of Sky, even since we got relegated, to our supposed "local" media and the difference is clear.

It shouldn't be like that from the BBC as it's licence fee funded. WOL can do what it likes before it goes bankrupt.

Mate why would they go on about that?

If we have transfer windows like this year in year out .
I can not wait to hear the champions league song at our ground .

🤣

We need a FA cup .

Wouldn't it be awesome to win the 100 years on from the mutants.
🤩 with Adam Idah anything is possible .

We’d have to increase ours to over 40,000 and even then the excuse would be “the players prefer to play in Cardiff” or “Swansea is too difficult to get to”.

The cricket has been centralized disenfranchising half of Glamorgan CCC’s core support just to make Sophia Gardens the “new Oval”, international football and now seem like they’re trying to finish the Ospreys and Scarlets just to keep Newport and Cardiff alive (who had both gone bust and have won the square root of f all). This cannot in any way be good for Welsh sport.

If anyone believes in this “together stronger” bullshit then they are thicker than mince. It’s got to the stage where I feel completely disengaged and maybe don’t consider the National sporting bodies as being representative of my community anymore.

The best thing we have is the Swans , we have owners who are dedicated to pushing the club forward and I’ll be most happy if they continue to stick two fingers up to the rest and the gap between us and Cardiff City keeps growing - Swansea City is my only interest. Stuff Wales .

Attended the match no problems with fans in the railway some with kids etc , apart from leaving 6 Cardiff fans with thier stone Island gear tried to get into the railway but the bouncers sent them on thier way.
1 there was people enjoying with families and obviously wanting to get away from the bad weather ,
2 If the bouncers had let them in so many people would of turned on them it would of been dangerous,

Was it that that obvious that they were scummers?

Im only asking as every time we go to legoland for home games we go in their pubs before ko and have no problems, but we dont wear stone island sh!te, just wales shirts 🤷

I came on here to say that in all probability The Nutjob Scummer faction would blame this defeat on the fact it was held in Swansea....

I wasn't and was disappointed in equal measure...

They really are the most deluded and despicable set of football fans in the UK...

I'd put them way ahead of Celtic, Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal in terms of entitled nonsense....

I'm so glad I was born under a Swansea star.......Fork them and then some...!

You don't turn up at the best known Swans pub wearing obvious Cardiff markers unless you're doing it to be tw*ts.

This will no doubt be spun into the "Six of us took on dozens of Jacks!" type fairytale that we've seen plenty of times before, even when they hid in Morriston and asked for a Police escort to a game.

No regrets about washing my hands of the whole thing.

I get this, because I agree with most of it and if I didn’t go to the occasional game, I’d feel the same.

Reality is, it’s totally different at games now. You’ll get the very rare scrote, but it’s 99% people supporting their country. Nobody cares where anyone’s from or who their club is.

Unfortunately, if people from Swansea turn their back on Wales because of how it was 20 years ago or governing body/media bias, they will be proving the Cardiff fans right.
