Possibly a lot to do with the Brackley debacle. Anyways - well done Jim and Mani - very much deserved, it's been our best ever start to a season and gives us a great chance to build towards something never done before by any Dale team or Manager. A very interesting next few weeks coming up against some teams with 'real clout'.

We're very hard to please, us Dale fans. We need to forget the Brackley result by setting it in the context of all the other results, and congratulate Jim on such an excellent start.

There's plenty of praise being given in matchday threads, the "official" recognition isn't in itself any less deserved Dale fans don't necessarily need to have it confirmed elsewhere, we say it at the time, independently

Don’t think that we’re hard to please, more that we aren’t really that much different to any other fanbase when it comes to reacting to results that either fit or don’t fit with an already established opinion. The lengths of threads/amount of social media posts after wins and losses tell a story as they do around the country. Credit to Jim and Mani and everyone else involved. [Post edited 11 Sep 13:17]

Not always Jimmy’s biggest fan 😅 but fair play to him and Mani – well deserved. Credit to the whole team as well, really playing like champions right now. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Manager & Player of the month on 15:22 - Sep 12 with 1997 views | DaleiLama | Great achievement and start to the season. I know Jim has numerous detractors but what he did in his first season was incredible under the circumstances and the foundations he laid in his second are mostly what got us to where we are today. As referenced in many threads, BJ has made some howlers in management as he did in his playing days on the field, but he has built a resilient, together squad. How resilient will be tested throughout this month and hopefully also at season’s end, but as fans who nearly lost their club, it's great to be now getting accolades and looking forward to genuinely competing in games. Up The Dale [Post edited 12 Sep 15:24]
