With all Pompey fans being bubbled in, the pubs will be open before the derby, as reported in dailyecho.co.uk/news/25456691.southampton-pubs-reveal-plans-big-portsmouth-derby/
I did have to laugh at this comment
"Esmay Dove, landlady of the Engineers Arms, says that although they will be open from 10am to noon, they will be closed the rest of the day as a precaution.
She said: "As a precaution, as we are one of the closest pubs to the stadium.
"On that day, we are only opening for two hours in the morning."
Esmay adds that her staff recall working during the last derby, when windows were smashed and there were "police everywhere".
Given that the last time St Mary's hosted Pompey was 2012 when it was a bubble game and that the Engineers Arms was not a pub but offices between 1981 & 2023, I can't see how any of her staff can recall working there with windows smashed etc
