Just out of curiosity is it actually illegal to enter the home end if you are an away fan?
Anyone remember the late 1980's against Brentford, a low crowd as per, about 100 away fans and a Swansea youngsters went up to a copper in the NB and said he was from Brentford they let him over to the West stand and as he got in he went charging up the terrace wind milling into them

It was really a wtf moment. I remember them (and they must have come in a taxi) being circled. I thought they were going to get murdered. The police must have indeed done the rest but they held their own at the back of the tunnel of the North Bank. What on earth were they thinking though.
I remember a large group of lads who no one recognised at the back of the North Bank - probably 1980 81 time - turned out they were Sunderland fans and when the teams came out it was mayhem | |
