For the second day running planned return flights for a small number of illegal immigrants did not go ahead after applications to the High Court. A lawyer acting for an Eritrean man argued that he would face "a real risk of destitution" if sent back to France.

According to other media reports several migrants detained with a view to return under the scheme were released from custody after the Home Office received lawyers' letters.

I take it then you don't like Kilkenny and my views then, i would have thought better to have some different opinions than just an echo chamber.

No you are entitled to your views and debate is good but to continually drone on with the same point is monotonous.

Even with Afghans the picture seems complicated. I think most UK people would like to help Afghans who have put themselves at risk by assisting the UK armed forces, but there are allegations that the system is being gamed by some migrants who seek to come to the UK for a better life rather than safety. It seems that some are returning for holidays.

More a case of the British forces helping them they should have been queing up in there droves and for free to help anyone trying to surpress the Taliban and what happens as soon as our Troops leave these Afgans allow the Taliban to rebuild and regain control and now instead of fighting for there cause they run away and come over to here fleece the mugs who let them in.

Those who served with our armed forces are genuinely not safe over there. The others are just chancers looking for a free ride.

The word is as regards the Taliban and the same for Hamas that the population back in the day thought they were less corrupt than the predecessors they took over from, now it might be different as in less corrupt domestically but involved in wars against foreign powers resulting in large amounts of the population killed, but both had some support back in the day, hence how they ended up in power.

They ended up in power because they were funded by very wealthy people and had massive massive guns which they weren’t afraid to use on people who would oppose them.

Our most valuable asset in protecting the UK has always been since 1069 (don't count that little incursion in Fishguard in 1797 ) the fact we're an a island, now its proving to be our weakness . Mainland Europe has the benefit of having solid borders ,such as Poland and Hungary who are showing the way on how to deal with this invasion and it is an invasion of the West ,looking at how Sweden ,one of the safest country's in the world has now become the bombing capital of europe ,look at the problems in Ireland but at least the people there are not taking it lightly with protests throughout the land.

There is nothing wrong with a country protecting its borders and people
Everything wrong with not doing so
Trump , here, is dead right

And drugs. The most well-documented source of income for the Taliban is the trade of opium hashish, methamphetamines and other narcotics

Weren't the great Western powers busy bombing poppy fields at one time?

They are not safe now because they and the rest of the fighting age men over there allowed the Taliban to regain control, they were trained and given a vast amount of weapons and were in control yet were still overrun by the Taliban. not the types to fight for cause really were they, and now their all fleeing over here leaving the woman and kids and sponging off the British tax payers.

Meanwhile Stammer proudly announces 3 migrants have gone back to France to be replaced by 3 from France and 800 to arrive in Dover today this has to be a wind up or they know the UK is a nation of dimwits.

As soon as the agreement was announced we could all see that it didn't help. One in one out with France and still thousands on small boats who, if we send to France, send us someone we agree can be here. Then they send for their families.

As agreements go it was an abortion of common sense.
