Even with Afghans the picture seems complicated. I think most UK people would like to help Afghans who have put themselves at risk by assisting the UK armed forces, but there are allegations that the system is being gamed by some migrants who seek to come to the UK for a better life rather than safety. It seems that some are returning for holidays.

The word is as regards the Taliban and the same for Hamas that the population back in the day thought they were less corrupt than the predecessors they took over from, now it might be different as in less corrupt domestically but involved in wars against foreign powers resulting in large amounts of the population killed, but both had some support back in the day, hence how they ended up in power. | |
