i was 18 that season, a great age to be following qpr home and away,. had been working for a couple of years, so plenty of money to fund travel.
only lived down the road, ladbroke grove, and the springbok was buzzing every home game, upstairs and downstairs.
at 67, havent long been in, and still buzzing to this day, with great wins, like today under our belts. |  |

Remember crying my eyes out as a nine year old when Liverpool won the title in the last fifteen minutes of the last game ear close to the radio - radio two then I think. Dad having to console me, saying they will win the league next time son !!!!
Lived in Wokingham then, where Phil Parkes has always lived. Dave Clements was living here too, as well as Ian Gillard, they used to go in Norreys Barn, where my dad used to go.
Not old enough though really to remember much more than that.

You’re being very reasonable, more like 40 years.
I suppose the club might counter this assumption as, to be fair, they have taken the private bar away from SAR season ticket holders and introduced a state of the art directors box complete with blankets so in some respects they haven’t entirely sat on their hands. | | | |
