Dad having to console me, saying they will win the league next time son !!!! Lived in Wokingham then, where Phil Parkes has always lived. Dave Clements was living here too, as well as Ian Gillard, they used to go in Norreys Barn, where my dad used to go. Not old enough though really to remember much more than that. Find it amusing Parkes and Francis and couple of others, still have the out of control barnets... No premature balding for these boys...

I was in lower loft . Couldn’t hear much either. I thought they upgraded the PA system.

It doesn’t help that they think it’s a good idea to blast The Boys Are Back In Town at top volume for this and every Forever Rs presentation to drown out what’s being said.

Yep, same in SAR. Be nice to get promoted, you never know, they might feel obliged to invest in a sound system that actually works. Incidentally, it appears to work in the away end. Stoke fans applauding something Gerry said. I suppose that’s what a £39 ticket gets you.
75/76 half time on 08:47 - Sep 21 with 457 views | HammersmithR | We are in the Loft and can never hear anything. We need a new ground. That’s the bottom line. We are the only team in the Championship to have done nothing of any significance to their ground in the last 30 years. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You’re being very reasonable, more like 40 years. I suppose the club might counter this assumption as, to be fair, they have taken the private bar away from SAR season ticket holders and introduced a state of the art directors box complete with blankets so in some respects they haven’t entirely sat on their hands.
