Deserves better than a recycled Lyndon Dykes chant ffs
Singing shitshouse striker when he's nutmegging lads and almost murdering the kids looking after the balls when he doesn't hit the target, he hits the ball so hard. Give me strength.
Apply within, but that's gotta be knocked on the head asap.
Yeah. Demos that ain't getting released I'm afraid....
Something will evolve or get picked up soon enough. Sort of like nicknames, you can't force them or choose them - they just "happen".
Dunno if it'd be sacrilegious but given 40yrs have past it might be in order to annoint him with Stanley's born is the king anthem?
I was wondering the other day about songs we had for our former players. We had the long drawn out chanting of Rodney and Stanley, and possibly Dave Thomas on the wing. However, I can't recall many other players of that era having songs or maybe my memory is not what it once was.

We chanted Givens I'm sure, Webbie too if memory serves.
Just do what the music industry does these days......
....take the best ideas from two or more massive hits, combine them together in a new song and hope no-one notices!
So, a slow burning KooooooooooooooOOOOOONEEEEEEEEEE to the ICELANDIC THUNDER CLAP.....but start the chant a bit later each time, section by section, one area of the crowd after the another, as the clap and chant goes round the ground like a MEXICAN WAVE!! Two of the biggest crowd pleasers ever combined in a new hit.....
Then hope no-one sues you for stealing their ideas - just like the music industry!
Here we come now sayin', "Kone, Kone" Shoot 'em down, turn around, come on, Kone Hey, he give me love, and I feel all right now Yeah! - you gotta toss and turn And feel all right, yeah, I feel all right
I can't be certain due to hearing difficulties and fact we seemed to have two separate pockets of singing at Hillsborough often singing over each other but... my defective ears picked up a song about Mbengue that seemed to use Zombie by The Cranberries as its basis. Bit of a dirge frankly - did I hear right?????

Yes that's right, I'll let Harvey and Amadou take it away
