It's monsoon night... on 00:30 - Sep 28 with 2391 views | dingdangblue | It's probably best not covered after last week - it's fine Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday so plenty of time to dry out. [Post edited 28 Sep 0:31]

It's monsoon night... on 01:21 - Sep 28 with 2314 views | Thacks_Rabbits | Since we know the drainage is shite all around and on The pitch, has anyone though of slanting the covers and elevating them so the water goes to basically a big hose that goes down the hill near the Radcliffe or if that’s unsafe a suitable sewer outlet. Seems pretty simple to me if that’s the issue!

That would be impossible without some sort of frame for them to sit on and with the size of the pitch I'd say very costly and labour intensive.

It's monsoon night... on 10:43 - Sep 28 with 1779 views | Dale_4_Life | The club does need a better plan though.. with the start that the players have given us every postponed game will throw up a needless complication… we are on the best run in ages to lose the advantage because of rain would be a travesty. The big question is what can be done? Do the covers work or not? Not sure our “storage solution” is the best? Screwed up chucked at the side of the pitch looks Sunday league.. we should be doing much better than we are. #raincovergate

Yes, cricket used to have raised covers …was it to avoid the pitch ‘sweating’? But now flat covers tend to be used I think. There must be some reason.
