It's probably best not covered after last week - it's fine Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday so plenty of time to dry out.

Since we know the drainage is shite all around and on The pitch, has anyone though of slanting the covers and elevating them so the water goes to basically a big hose that goes down the hill near the Radcliffe or if that’s unsafe a suitable sewer outlet. Seems pretty simple to me if that’s the issue!

Well, you're the only one that's said it.

Bright sunshine this morning and for the next few days, going off the forecast.

A wise man would be able to self-analyse and perhaps understand.

That would be impossible without some sort of frame for them to sit on and with the size of the pitch I'd say very costly and labour intensive.

The club does need a better plan though.. with the start that the players have given us every postponed game will throw up a needless complication… we are on the best run in ages to lose the advantage because of rain would be a travesty.

The big question is what can be done?

Do the covers work or not?

Not sure our “storage solution” is the best? Screwed up chucked at the side of the pitch looks Sunday league.. we should be doing much better than we are.

Yes, cricket used to have raised covers …was it to avoid the pitch ‘sweating’? But now flat covers tend to be used I think. There must be some reason.

Will the covers be deployed tea time on Tuesday until 4pm on Wednesday to help with the expected rain on Wednesday morning?.

Its unthinkable that we will not play on Wednesday night.

The band of light rain tomorrow now due to start around 6am but finish earlier, around noon

If the covers are going down, could do with getting them in place overnight

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport
