Those officers caught on camera absolutely deserve everything that comes to them. We don’t want that ilk in our police force. Unfortunately the nature of some jobs does attract some people who are there for the wrong reasons they get off on that status and power over others and they should be rooted out.
But what we’ve seen today is the absolute best of the police force. Turning up within 3 minutes running towards danger and swiftly and ruthlessly neutralising the threat. | |

Yep, agree about the last bit. The sad thing is that police officers often don't get the support they need when they have to use lethal force. To the discredit of the IOPC, Martyn Blake is still (as far as I can see) facing a misconduct hearing for the shooting of the habitual criminal, Chris Kaba. It was not sufficient for those who made the decision that Sgnt Blake was put through a criminal murder trial and acquitted. They are more concerned with pacifying certain "communities". Scumbag was already linked to two nightclub shootings and was more than willing to use his car as a weapon so the cop absolutely did the right thing putting a bullet in his brain. It’s a shame that the media wanted to portray him as a friendly smiling popular DJ father to be (the mother had a restraining order against him for domestic violence) in an attempt to create another George Floyd. | |

Trust me, Police Forcrsxare full of people who would stab you in the back or report something that offends THEM
It is the case however that officers like these do go to life threatening incidents and are those who will save lives
Obnoxious, shallow, racists , but still having a duty to protect the public

What did they say? |
They had a bloke on for about ten minutes stating that far right terrorism is by far the biggest threat to Jewish people in this country and there are neo Nazis everywhere. I’d only just switched on at that point so assumed they had already identified the murderer. This went unchallenged by the presenter.
Then later on radio 4 they had the local MP Graham Stringer (who came across very well btw spoke very well) and another man who were talking about how Jewish communities have felt a huge increase in hostility and hatred towards them since Oct 7th. Yet the presenter came across as very rude and aggressive in her questioning and trying to steer the conversation towards Islamophobia. It was very jarring and not the time for it. The second guy made a comment about how politicians may have stoked up the tension with the anti Israel narratives of the last few months and she was aggressively demanding he provides specific examples and when he said he didn’t want to go into specifics she kept hounding him for one. Just seemed really out of place in the wake of a horrific terror attack that’s left many dead. | |
