Our away support 21:38 - Oct 2 with 1023 views | grumpy | Must say whenever I watch Saints away I'm impressed by our fans support. Good numbers turn up each game. I used to go to away games(not many London grounds I haven't been too) some up north etc. I don't remember the numbers being as good as the appear now. Well done to those that go,the club should be proud of its loyal supporters.

Especially good when you consider that in the space of just 10 days, we have played away to Hull, Liverpool and Sheffield United. .......and follow it up with an away game to Derby this weekend.

Over 3000 will be at Derby Saturday and 3,400 at Bristol City for midweek game later this month We’ve already sold 1,300 for Blackburn after 2 days so another good following there hopefully. Noise could be better at times but in terms of numbers our away support is superb

Considering Tues was only our 4th win out of the last 48 league games played, our supporters capacity to endure pain and heartache seems to know no limits. Absolutely amazing support throughout, and the only blemish on it could be the amount of noise made throughout the games, not just sporadic but loud OWTS. I am certain that that will if improve if we actually had more to get excited about from the players on the pitch UTFS
Our away support on 15:03 - Oct 3 with 614 views | felly1 | I wonder what our average away following was say 20 to 40 years ago. I'm guessing its 2000 hardcore and probably another 3000 pick n mixers like myself who perhaps go to 3/6 away games per season. When you take into account how accessible it is to watch every game on TV now plus the high cost of travel it's pretty impressive..same for most teams I guess?

When I started going away late 70’s hardcore was 250, you would rarely get a thousand at northern games, mind you the roads especially the A34 were terrible then, but you would get good turnouts for Cup games. Which is why everybody from that era knew personally everyone that went away regularly and still have time for each later 40 yrs later. However I remember end of 76/77 when we took 2,000 up to Blackpool for a meaniless end of season game. This has slowly built up of the years to the point when there are not many games, mainly northern midweek games where we do not sell out. [Post edited 3 Oct 16:00]
